We were introduced to this site as the mother falls not really sure why it was so until we saw it live! It was a long rocky, slimy trek going up amidst nature but boy was it worth all the wounds and almost-fractures! The mother falls lives up to its local name! It is indeed commanding and powerful so much so that it hurts to be under the water. It was misty cold but we braved the frigid water to experience the clear pool and it was an inexplicably satisfying!

That's the right term.. breathtaking. A long walk/trekking on a very rocky road, crossed 3 rocky rivers and swim in an ice cold water from the falls... is a great and amazing experience. Will be back soon :)

We went there from Baler with a rented tricycle and hiked for about 30 minutes. There are lots of times when we had to cross the river. We took a dip in the pool although it was scary a first. It is not that deep but one has to really be careful.

There is no entrance fee but you have to register and may choose to donate a few pesos. There is a very small store at the start of the trail. Might as well bring food if you plan to stay there a little longer. But please take your trash with you.

The almost 50 minute trek going to this falls is so worth it! Water there is very refreshing and cold. The area is very picturesque. One should not miss this when going to Baler.

Fun climb up through the mountainside to the ice cold Ditumabo Falls. The swim was most refreshing and made the whole tiring trek worthwhile!
