“Simply fantastic!”

This is by far the best beach in the vicinity of João Pessoa (yes, it is located just outside the city).
When you go there (especially if you have kids) make sure you pick the low tide as there are some nice natural pools due to the presence of rocks near the shore.
There are some bars and a nice restaurant at this beach. One should definitely pay it a visit if in João Pessoa.

“Great destination”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Coqueirinho beach has mainly two sites. By taking left after sloping down the hill you get a crowded popular frequented beach, full of families and food/beer booths. By taking right, you get to a paradise type tranquile and clean beach, served by a unique sea food excellent restaurant (Cannyon Coqueirinho). This more exclisive spot on the right side beach is excellent for wild beach lovers with a touch of sophistication. Cannyon Coqueirinho restaurant has a very nice beach lounge, where you can enjoy marvelous drinks while confortably seated in rattan sofas. Prices a reasonably high but good quality is what you get. Good place to go with a partner. Bautiful people around and good drinks.

Great setting looking over the ocean with friendly staff amazing seafood. Location is a big thing here as the restaurant has prime position overlooking the beach below. Food tastes fresh, comes in good portions and there is a good variety. Reasonably priced and service is excellent.

“A bit crowded but still gorgeous”

Coqueirinho... you have changed, but you charm is till there. Myself and wife (locals living overseas) took an European couple for a tour around the beaches and guess what: they didn't want to leave Coqueirinho. I saw a review (@WongBrazil) complaining about the color of the water (yellowish) and the sun (how can you go to the beach and complain about the sun?). You have to check the season before going. Water temperature is awesome all year long, but around the Summer it gets a clear green tone which is fantastic. When coming down the cliff, you can either go to the right (find a comfortable bar and hotel structure and awesome canyons) and/or left (bars are humble but THIS is what keeps this place so good with a cosy little bay). The access is a bit harder, parking is difficult, but you got to stay here for at least 4 hours, enjoy its peace, before making a review. I love this place and so does everyone I take there.
