Description: What makes tavern Kopacina so unique, is original Brač cuisine, especially Brač lamb specialties. Sheep s cheese, skuta, genuine Brač «vitalac», and famous lamb on a spit are some of our best specialties. All sorts of “peka” meals, international meat dishes, fresh fish and seafood, roasted potatoes…Besides the cozy atmosphere of a tavern which can accommodate up to sixty people, there is a beautiful terrace on a sunny side of “Kopacina”.Tavern “Kopacina” can organize all sorts of celebrations, weddings, birthdays, baptism, reunions, and business lunches, formal dinners and all sorts of parties.

Some of the best house red wine I have had, they said it was the same as one of the bottled wines from a local vineyard, so save some money. We had a lamb dish, excellent taste and tenderness. The desserts were a bit weak, but no other complaints with the food.

Very nice, typical croatian restaurant! Good choice of fish and meats. The lamb liver with rosemary was just perfect! Friendly patron, which speaks German and English. One big and a smaller room and a big terrace. Lot of locals eat here (very well).

The food was excellent. The location so nice, old village, not a lot of people lives there. The taste of the lamb was incredible

The food is perfect with a variety of local specialties such as roated lamb to pasta and cordon bleu. Vegetables are fresh and based on seasonal availabilities. House wine of a local variety complimented the meal. Salad, homemade bread, mixed grill, frites, chocolate cake, and panna cotta . Try the frites or pommes from home grown potatoes.

Wait staff speak a variety of languages.

There is even entertainment of a local variety.
Views of the nearby hills include olive trees and Brac stone.

Not bad by any means, but not extraordinary. We ordered the mixed meat platter, and we got just that: the meats were varied, and so was the quality of preparation. The pork chops dryish and stiff, but the beef medalions wonderful and rare, sausages excellent, veal pretty tasteless. The grilled vegetables were similarly uneven. I'd say this is an example of a restaurant that once was extraordinary and that has expanded its capacity beyond its ability to ensure the highest quality in all departments. Not miserable, not great, now just about average--and in Croatia the average is high--you won't suffer unless you are very fussy, but you probably won't be enraptured. All in all, I'd rather stick to some of the other fine family-run restaurants on Brac.
