“shortst way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

If you want to shorten ferry ride and see whole island - disembark on glossa port.

Driving to Skopelos town you will drive trough endless pine woods of this island on beautifull road.

Be extra carefull driving on Skopelos - roads are curvy!

“Pleasant quiet port”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

We travelled by bus to Glossa - this must rival the Amalfi Run as a wonderful ride! Glossa is a delightful village with narrow streets and fabulous vews. We walked down the steep road to the port (Loutraki). This is an interesting small village with wonderful sea connections. We enjoyed quietly sitting on a seat looking out to sea. The main beach seemed a little exposed but a short walk round the harbour brought you to a sheltered stretch of stony beach popular with locals . There is a walk over the headland to other beaches but we didn't have time for this. There are several tavernas including one on the edge of the sea! If we had had tiem we would have visited here again - we wondered if we could have caught a boat from Skopolos town but were not sure of the times etc.

“Nothing Special”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012

The Glossa port is uninspiring place with a lot of cement around and facilities to accommodate the twice a day call of the speed ferry (passengers only). Stay clear
