I have had more dinners and lunches in Greece than I can easily count, and there are places, I regularly return to. One of these is Flisvos on the waterfront of Loutraki (Glossa).
When I think of how to best rate Flisvos, I need to take several things into consideration - one for each point I have given the restaurant.
1 point is for the food. Instead of ordering one course each, as most people would normally do, try this: Order a number of traditional Greek courses for the table, and share them all together. Dont miss the Tzaziki, the Pumpkin Balls, the Gavros (tiny little fried fish), the fried squid, the marinated octopus, the Chicken á la Creme, the Ouzo flavored Mussels and the Seafood Spaghetti.
1 point is for the setting. You can sit and watch the sun set while the waves wash up against the restaurant wall right below Your feet. There is almost an 180 degree ocean view, and that alone makes this restaurant unique.
1 points are for the couple who owns Flisvos - Jannis and his wife, Antigonis, who make the restaurant what it is. Antigonis does much of the cooking, and does it well. Jannis is a skilled and passionate fisherman, and at Flisvos, You may be lucky to find one of his own catches. (If he has had the time to go fishing)
1 point is for Skopelos - one of the most peaceful and beautiful islands in all of Greece. (And perhaps the world)
