Very good meals both in size as well as taste. They were reasonably priced but I think the drinks were expensive.

Never have I been spoken to so badly when paying for a service! Was camping at braithwaite bridges (lovely) and after a day of mountain biking we decided to visit this pub for food. We were greeted with hostility from the barmaid from the very beginning. We asked if food was still being served and the response was very rude and unhelpful..almost as if the barmaid did not want to be serving us. Needless to say we drank quickly and left, we did not want to spend any more money in this place! Dreadful! I will never visit again, despite my frequent visits to this area!

Dining room a little on the small size, on the night we dined there were a few crying kids, food basic but wholesome, my wife had the fish & chips which she enjoyed, I had the large Yorkshire pudding with braised beef the mashed potatoes were bland.

The dining room was half empty by 20:30 & not so noisy.

We was lucky to have arrived just as they opened for dinner (6pm). Just as we sat down with a drink and a menu to look at there was lots of people piling in through the door with the same idea. A small pub with a good hearty menu. The food was hot and tasty.
