Owner description: Highest Go Ape in the country plus NEW Forest Segways It's so high you can see all the way to Scotland. Enjoy a Tree Top Adventure with us in our beautiful forest, riding zip slides through skies, over water and in England's only true mountain forest. We're sure you'll love the spectacular views of the Lake District. Swinging through the canopy, wiping out at the bottom of zip wires and going on an adventure brings people together like nothing else we've ever seen. It really does. We'll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. And you can get off road and enjoy our epic forest adventure with Go Ape Forest Segway - an awesome segway experience in the Lakes with a down to earth twist. A great idea for a day out in the North Lakes (and home to Bassenthwaite ospreys), this is Go Ape at its most untamed.

Who later provided lovely walks with no a small fee for a parking charge, this was excellent. (especially when you have a few children an dogs to tire out on a warm day) the staff in the visitors centre were lovely and and friendly and did not hesitate to reccomend our family a walk! Great sights, too!

We visited go ape as my brother and dad go rock climbing and convinced me, my mum and boyfriend that it would be a good day. When we arrived we wwere the first group of the day. They give you abit of training on how to clip onto the wires etc.. and then you make your way to a little practice course which was easy and only a few feet above the ground. Then they set you free and you get onto level 1. The first level was ok and i didn't think i was scared of heights until we got to the higher levels. My brother dad and boyfriend were fine and were diving off the platforms and swinging about. However you reach one level where you have to crawl through a tunnel which is supended in the air. I got half way through the tunnel and started to panic and then started crying. Everybody must have thought i was a right wierdo. Also my mum was really scared, but she didnt cry like me lol! The zip wires were really fun, i just didnt like the things that moved.! Also as you move round the course the attractions get higher. Also you can't get off at one point as the trees all link together. So even if you want to get down, you can't!! Finally we reached level 5 which you didn't have to do. Me and my mum watched on as the brave boys went and tackled the ropes. There is also a big tarzan swing at the start of level 5 but you have to jump from a ledge and you drop about 10feet before swinging into a huge net! :o
This go ape is one of the highest ones in the country so if you are abit unsure as to whether you will like it, i suggest trying one of the lower coursed ones first.
Also while we were there a girl behind us broke her finger because she put her hand on the moving part when she was on the zip wires! so be careful!
