“This is always a fun day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2012

I have attended this program four times and it never gets old. You meet interesting travelers from around the world. We spent a full day cooking, eating and drinking wine. Her home is a short train ride from downtown Buenos Aires but you feel like you are in the country. The house and yard are very comfortable. One time we were there and it rained but it did not slow down the fun. If you ever wanted to learn how to make empanadas or wonder what it would be like to be in the home of a local then this is perfect for you. You will eat your fill with BBQ that is as good as any resturant in the city. We look forward to our fifth visit next year! Travel safe and enjoy the hospitality.

“Fantastic day learning, cooking and wine tasting!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2012

We booked the empanadas class a few months in advance.
We also booked the car transfer with Jorge that Teresita recommends. Jorge arrived on time and was a very nice man.
Once we arrived at Teresita’s beautiful home she kindly opened a bottle wine and we started the class. We were the only couple there which was a bonus!
Teresita is a really nice lady, relaxed, polite, friendly and explains things clearly.
We got to make two different fillings for our empanadas, also make the dough and fill them.
Our wine glass was always topped up while we were cooking!
While waiting for things to cook or be ready for the next stage we got the chance to sit outside in her garden talking and drinking. Then back in the kitchen to finish the empanadas.
Once they were ready we took them to the garden and they were absolutely delicious. And always with lovely wine :)
Teresita had plastic boxes so we could take home the leftovers we couldn’t eat and also gave us her recipe so we could make these plus some other things at home.
A brilliant day learning to cook and chatting with a lovely lady, worth the visit just outside the centre of Buenos Aires.

“If there is one thing to do in Buenos Aires...THIS IS IT!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2012

We absolutely LOVED cooking with Teresita! At first I thought it was a little expensive but after our experience I would have paid three times that! The atmosphere was tranquil, intimate and full of joy and laughter. We had an amazing group with us and we all had a great time looking in the markets and tasting her wonderful cooking with the even better wine pairings! Overall this was one my highlights of my South American experience!

“What a great day!”

Teresita is an excellent teacher, and her home and garden are really tranquil. I had a great day learning how to make empanadas, and made new friends with the people in my class. The train ride out was a bit rougher than I thought, but was glad I went when I got there.

I definitely recommend this experience for anyone who visits Argentina and is into cooking!

“Fun Class, Delicious Empanadas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2012

Our group of four took Cooking with Teresita and learned to make two kinds of empanadas: beef and corn. We initially had trouble finding her house for the class, so allow extra travel time in case you get lost like we did. However, once you get there, it is worth it! You get hands on experience making empanadas and then get to taste all your results with lots of wine. This was one of the highlights of our time in Buenos Aires and if you have time to make it out to her place, it is well worth it.
