We stayed in the holiday cottage attached to the Old Vicarage B&B for 2 nights, having previously stayed in the B&B and had a great experience. There are 3 bedrooms, accommodating 6 although there were only 2 of us on this occasion. The bed was really comfortable & the bathroom is nice, with a jacuzzi bath & good shower. The kitchen/ lounge-diner provided all we needed to make breakfast etc and there's even a small garden outside. Parking was good (even when the village was full with Brian Adams fans!) and it's only a short walk into the village and to Powderham Castle and farm shop. As others have said there's 2 good restaurants and we had a really lovely meal at the Rodean. Bob is the perfect host and was very accommodating. We'll look forward to staying again.
A lovely place to stay when visiting the area: delightful hosts - helpful and friendly. The breakfast was freshly cooked - the bedroom comfortable with quirkily housed facilities! A lovely Georgian home with some impressive pieces of art on the walls. I would only say- take some earplugs as the splendid village church is next door; the bells ring on the hour all through the night!
