“Very nice stay”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Stayed at Munden House for one night whilst visiting Dorset.
Owners were on holiday so I was disappointed not to see them and there dog, don't get me wrong we were looked after very well but as a couple we were hoping to play with the doggy.
We stayed in the Chesil room which opens out onto the gardens which were very big and lovely.
Bathroom was very nice and modern with good shower.
All the little extras like fresh milk that you help yourself to, toiletries, tissues, bottles of water all go a long way to make your stay nicer.
The smell of bacon in the morning was so nice we ordered full English breakfast for my hubby and I had eggs and bacon my only dislike was I only got one rasher of bacon, it was so nice I wanted more. I didn't go hungry tho as I had Cereal toast and fruit.
The breakfast room is very elegant which you could also stay in and have dinner at night, although not when we were there. We would recommend going into Sherborne at night to eat as we did to the White Hart pub, really friendly service and good food.
The only thing we didn't like was my husband couldn't get any service on his phone which was a pain, but I had no problem.
Had a lovely time in Dorset and will return

We came across Munden House on laterooms.com and I'm very pleased that we did. We were given the Garden Cottage and on arrival, our only disappointment was that we'd booked for just one night as a stopover en-route to camping in Devon! We are two adults and two children, 10 and 13.

The location is beautiful, the whole property is stunning and oozes character, the gardens are well maintained and extremely pretty and the view from the dining room is spectacular.

Sadly, I cannot remember the names of the owners and their daughter (old age setting in!), but they were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful....faultless. As was the dog!!

The cottage itself was perfect. It's beautifully and tastefully fitted out to a very high standard and offers absolutely everything you could possibly want....and more! The attention to detail was particularly impressive such as a pretty ribbon around the shower mat in the shower room...who would have thought of that?!! The breakfast was fresh and tasty and we really couldn't have wished for anything better. Our daughters loved playing with the dog outside our room in the morning and exploring the grounds with the free-roaming chickens.

There is nothing really I can add about Munden House. There are certainly no negatives. We would definitely go back and stay longer next time. Great value for money too.

Stayed for just one night in a twin room...would have been happy to stay much longer. Clean, spacious and well-equipped room with a nice view over the garden. Lovely setting. Very friendly welcome and a delicious breakfast. This B&B is highly recommended and I would certainly go back.

We stayed in the summer house for two nights, we wished we had booked it for longer!
As we were very lucky to get the best weather for ages, the summer house was great as it gave us a fridge to keep all our drinks cool and the freedom to cook our own meals if we wanted.
The room was very clean, spacious & and very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent and was served by the very friendly hosts Colin and Annie.
Overall 10 out 10!
