easy to reach centre near the highweay. They can tell you all about the big park here! A good start is the visitorscentre.

“An interesting way to explore the caves - with kayaks”
Reviewed December 9, 2011

We booked the kayaking through Siam Smile Travel. The trip included free pick up from our hostel in Krabi, an hour ride to the pier where we were provided with the kayaks, life vests. As all of us in the group were familiar with the kayaking, we set off to the caves without wasting the time.

We visited Khao Wong, cave with a lagoon, Tham Lod Nau, a tunnel with stalagmites and stalagtites, Tham Lod Tai, long cave passage with the formation resembling a nymph and Tham Pee Hua Toh, large cave with many prehistoric drawings.
The trip was very nice, we enjoyed exploring the nice caves and coves, saw monkeys, king fisher and large crabs. The whole area has a nice setting of mangroves and large limestone.
After the kayaking we were provided with a lunch and then driven for a short time bathing in Phuthara lagoon.

This area is very popular and beside our group, there were at least 4-5 other groups.

“Not to be missed when in Krabi”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

We booked an ecotour kayak adventure through the Sheraton Krabi, for 1800 Bhat. The am involved a trip to the park to putter around and view the natural beauty as well as Tham Phi Hua To (a cave with prehistoric paintings). Parts of the trip were like going into the movie Jurasic Park, really neat, other parts were even neater with paddling through caves with stalagtites/stalagmites. The cave was incredible, not only are the paintings clear, but they are so accessible. Elsewhere you would have bars, or fences or something. The guides who escort you make everyone aware of the rules but you have time to ponder about who created these in the first place. Amazing day trip followed by lunch at the launching spot nestled in the mangrove forest.
