What's not to like. Stunning building/architecture, manicured grounds, attentive and efficient service, great food, amazing massages, and stylish rooms.
Their attention to the small details makes this hotel stand out. For example, the in-room check in, the provision of a mobile phone to easily contact the staff, the ice bucket of water and Evian facial spray along with fresh fruit skewers when relax by the pool.

This countryside retreat is hidden outside the city in the middle of the vineyards. We stayed here for two nights with our kids and it was simply amazing! From the modern beautiful rooms with a small garden terrace to the fine gourmet restaurant in the courtyard. Service was incredible and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. This place is not cheap but well worth every euro!!

This gorgeous property is in my top three hotels, anywhere in the world. Why? Read anyone's description below. The calmness of the public spaces; the attention to detail across the ancient buildings; the sympathetic refurbishment.
Then there's the food & drink, which is wonderful, inventive and not so rarified that you feel awkward. The location and grounds are lovely; we rode horses nearby and visited the amazing Vega Sicilia vineyard a few miles down the road.
Coupling all of the above with friendly, efficient and not in-your-face service explains why so many visitors rate this hotel.

Our stay at Abadia Retuerta was truly amazing. The service is beyond fantastic, the food is wonderful, and the amenities are extremely relaxing. Despite the 98+ degree temperatures, the rooms were cool, the pool was the perfect temperature, and the activities (winery tour, spa treatments) were wonderful. I would go again in a heartbeat.

What a beautiful and impressive Medieval monastery converted into wine resort. Remote, quaint, authentic, divine, still exuding the monastic tranquility and pulchritude even though paired with the highest luxury hospitality standards. Great food, great service, well-designed guest rooms. Absolutely gorgeous, no doubt, one of the top five in Spain.
