We stopped by for dinner while visiting friends in Big Bear. Ignoring the hair that we found in the dip for the very delicious home made potato chips (mmmm really yummy) we found the restaurant barely adequate. Shop worn and thread bare the inside eating area was uncomfortably hot on a sunny day in Big Bear. The outside temperature was in the low 80s. We believe that either there was no air conditioning or they chose not to use it. The outside eating area was very pleasant but a little too sunny for us. They only offered one beer on tap. But I did get an ice cold Coor's Light but being the lady that I am I had to ASK for a glass from which to drink it, the pleasant waitress cheerfully brought one to me.
Food was the second best thing about the place. The unobstructed view of the lake was the very best thing. The barbequed meats were very good. The brisket was excellent. The fresh potato chips were worth the other inconveniences.
Hygiene did not appear to be high on their list of priorities but who knows. We did not see the kitchen.
