We stayed here for 2 nights. It became the most expensive stay in our trip. Costing more than $120 per night, we found it hard to justify the cost with the value received. Unlike other Travelodge branches, there was no maid service and no complimentary breakfast. Hair dryer is also missing. There wasn't even a plastic cup in our room. These things don't cost that much to the hotel and it wouldn't harm to have them.

The room is clean, and it is warm enough. The staff did turn on the heater for us before we checked in, which was good. But sometimes it could get really dry and the heater could get too warm at times. As there was no maid service, you would have to go to the reception if you want to have some new towels. Parking is available but some spots are filled with snow so you'd better check in early to get a good spot.

Finally, staffs are friendly and they provided clear instructions when we checked in.

A friend and I stayed her for a weekend because the pictures online looked nice and the price was good.

When we arrived, the room looked nothing like the pictures. We decided we were going to take a show and then hit the town. It took almost 30 minutes for the shower to heat up the first time.

Throughout the weekend there were more and more odd things, for instance our key would never work. We would have to go get a key everytime we would come back. The front desk person said, "yea, that room's door hasn't been working". The hotel was not sold out. Why were we given a room with a broken card key reader (room 112).

The rooms were also very loud if there was anything going on. Just the people walking around upstairs sounded like they were doing the tango on our heads all morning.

And the final day, the shower wouldn't get warm again. Guess after every one took showers for check out on Sunday, the heater couldn't keep up.

The pros - they allow late check out on Sunday and the beds were comfortable (although I'm glad I had my own pillow).

Room Tip: Do not stay in 112. Apparently the key reader is broken.

Average hotel, no security and office always closed. Breakfast wasn't served 2 out of 3 days. No answer when you phone desk. You are basically on your own. Yes, It was a quiet week, so I guess holiday periods should be different.

We booked Travelodge at the last minutes due to another cabin (Cozy Hollow lodge) did not honor our reservation. Come out it was nicer than we expected. The hotel outdside look typical Travelodge, nothing fancy, but the new renovated room is spacious with fridge, flat screen tv with good cables (the most free cables we ever seen at a hotel) and good wifi. We traveled on Veteran weekends, when snow session not started yet, paid total $150 for 2 nites that included breakfast. They also has pastries, hot water to make cocoa and pop corn, during the day for those families with young kids like us. Nice touch and very friendly. The reason i did not give a full 5 stars, because staffs did not familiar with computer or online booking so it's little hard to confirm room rate at check-in or print a receipt at check-out. I trust that next time when we stop by this issue will be improved.

Room Tip: The hotel on Big bear blvd but we do not hear any noise. We had a room facing the small street and was very quiet from the street and from the neighboor room.

Came to Big Bear in fall for a few days to explore the mountains. The room was very good, comfy, clean bed and a desk as well as a small fridge. Less than 2 miles away from the village. Very close to marinas, hiking and biking trails. Overall, a great experience. Thanks to Bob, Christy and Howard for your hospitality !

I will come back to stay again.
