We stayed at the Bridge Inn in August 2012 for three nights. The food was excellent and we could have happily stayed another week to work our way through the rest of the menu. As much as possible is locally sourced and the owner can tell you all about it. The bar is popular locally and there's live music on Thursday nights which was an unexpected bonus. Mobile 'phones are discouraged in the bar, there were several examples skewered to the woodwork with crossbow bolts! Our room was above the bar so there was some noise audible but I found it quite soothing. Perhaps I'm odd, but it is a country pub, it seemed appropriate. I had no trouble dozing off.
We'd come over from France where we now live so that I could share all the places I remember from growing up with our thirteen year old. He was not disappointed, the surrounding countryside is stunning.
The rooms could do with some investment, redecoration and better storage furniture perhaps. And more shelves and hooks in the ensuites. Perhaps you could lose the bath and just have a shower in a few to make more space. All was beautifully clean however.

Room Tip: It's a popular country pub, not rowdy, just convivial.

We didn't stay at the Bridge but wished we had. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Good choice of beer and wine. The food was exceptional in choice and quality. If in the area again we would consider staying at the Bridge before accomodation at Reeth.

I have never stayed here, so I am unable to comment on the accommodation.
However, as a real ale pub and somewhere to have quality home cooked food it is up there with the best. I have been coming to the area for years and this is the pub we look forward to going to every time we visit.
Families, dogs, muddy walkers are all welcome. The bar staff are top quality, old school and have been the same in all the time I have been going there.
Forget the 3 pubs on the village square in Reeth and walk the 1/2 mile or so down the road to the Bridge. You won't be disappointed.

We've never stayed at the pub, we only eat and drink, here, and the food is great! Unlike some pubs, whilst keeping some of their traditional and popular meals, they change the menu fairly regularly. This can sometimes evoke a quandary of choice! The food is always very good, very tasty and very good value. Using locally produced ingredients adds to the appreciation. Fab. Oh, and the staff are great; really friendly and welcoming!

My second stay at the Bridge. It can be faulted in a couple of areas but bearing in mind that most people only stay one night there is nothing to gripe about. Good food, good beer, dog friendly

We stayed at the Bridge on night four of a walking holiday. As noted by previous reviewers, the room was basic. We stayed in the triple/twin room and did feel that the en-suite could maybe do with a re-vamp, however the towels and linen were all good quality and the room was clean which is more important! We had dinner at the Bridge which was lovely as was breakfast the following morning. The pack up for the next day was also good but we felt a little on the expensive side, however the quality was good. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here this weekend as a group of 6. This was the only accomodation we could find 10 weeks ago when we booked. The welcome was warm and felt instantly at home. All the staff were friendly and treated us as old friends. Although the bedroom was basic it was clean and comfortable with a good view. Food was delicious. What the accomodation lacked was more than made up for by the atmosphere. Would not hesitate in recommending this anyone who wants a relaxing break with good food and excellent walks from the door.
