We stayed on this campsite several years ago and found it quiet and pleasant. Then you could park by your mobile home. Eurocamp's brochure does say that there is a central parking parking spot; however, what it does not say is that you could have to carry all your luggage, bedding etc. up to a hundred yards. You cannot even drive to unload and then park up. Try this when there is lashing rain and it takes the shine off your holiday (sorry about the pun!).
In our case we did not even bother staying and I wrote to Eurocamp saying that this unloading problem should be made clear. Eurocamp did not even bother to reply - how different now that they have grown into a big business than what they were. After many happy years with Eurocamp they have lost a faithful customers.

We just came back from 5 days' stay in Koningshof. Before that, we had 4 days in the hustling and bustling Duinrell. What a contrast! Our children loved all the theme park rides in Duinrell, but it just got a bit too much for me and my husband at the end, so we were pleasantly surprised to see our caravan in a lovely secluded area, surrounded by shrub bushes in Koningshof. It is quiet most of the time except occasional aeroplanes noises and kids riding bikes passing.

We rented 4 bikes to visit nearby Rinjsburg and Voorhout, both nice little towns. My kids, aged 9 and 6, enjoyed the birds od prey show and archery onsite, but what they loved most was the freedom to ride the bikes to the playground and skate park without parents trailing behind them. We feel safe enogh to trust them roam freely in the campsite, something that we don't even dare to think about back at home.

The indoor heated pool area has a lighthouse theme, with small climbing wall, slide and watergates for young children to play around. My 9-year-old can't get enough of the lighthouse slide. So it works perfectly for my children.

We didn't use the onsite restaurant as my kids wanted BBQ every night, but we did order pizzas from the snack bar and it was delicious at a fair price. Onsite supermarket is a bit pricy, but our Eurocamp rep, Dan, kindly showed us where the local supermarkets are, and we do find Plus in Voorhout a very good one.

To sum up, Koningshof is a friendly and compact site suitable for thise who enjoy tranquility and relaxation. We had a wonderful time there and would look foward to going back.

Room Tip: The wifi signal is best nearer the pool and bar, near the lake is a bit hit and miss. But I personally prefer the pitch near the lake, more privacy.

In a great location not too far from town and sea this site is a nice non corperate family park.We stayed with Eurocamp and the layout is not the average on top of each other layout with the holiday caravans blended in with the owner/occupier vans.Everything you need is onsite with a small heated outdoor pool and nice kids area inside and out as well as an indoor pool. The Eurocamp rep was very helpful and the accomodation very clean with everything you need for a camping holiday. There are plenty of pitches for self drive caravans. The onsite snack bar is very reasonable with a small bar.If you like a quieter park this site ticks all the boxes .

We went to this site with eurocamp in May 2012. It was a lovely quiet campsite with a local feel as there are some people who permanently live on the site in their static caravans. There is a bit of aeroplane noise, but not enough to cause a distraction. The pool was lovely, at one point, we had the whole childrens area to ourselves, much to our childrens delight. We hope to return again this year, with a tent this time (the eurocamp caravan was excellent though, very clean and tidy with everything you could need - and we were 3 adults and 2 toddlers)!!!

Our stay with Eurocamp over Easter 2013 was our second visit to this site. We initally went in August 2012 and had lovely weather, plenty of time outside. Easter was alot cooler but the site was still immaculate, everything was open as usual (shop, laundry, bar etc) and the "Kids Camping" entertainment club was even open over the Easter weekend. The site is very well kept and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We have young children and this site is a great place for them, it is not noisy late at night and in all people seem happy with their holidays here. It is a great location for visiting some of the highlights of the Netherlands and coach tours from the site are available if you wish. The pools are better catered to younger children or those wanting a relaxing swim and I imagine teenagers would find this area a bit boring.
