The Wolfcenter is located about three quarters of an hour by car from Bremen and has its own parking facilities, gift shop and cafe. As a student, the entry fee was 10 euros and this gave you access to the museum, petting zoo and then the four main enclosures, as well as a guided tour. I don't want to give too much away as that would make it less interesting for people who visit but it was a fascinating trip!! The guided tours take place every couple of hours - the tour lasts about an hour and a quarter - and the guide was fab. She gave us such thorough information and was clearly both very knowledgeable and passionate about wolves.
Before going to Wolfcenter, I had no idea there were any wild wolves in Germany so the centre has a very important role to play in educating people (both on wolves and on the dangers of wolf/dog hybrids) and inspiring them to help protect and understand these beautiful creatures who have a right to live here in Germany. I think this is the best day out I have ever had. Howling to the wolves and having them howl back is something I will never forget.
