“Great beach for kids”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

We took a large family group to this beach. The water was much calmer than most beaches. It was shallow enough for the kids to play without me being right at their side, though I always had an eye on them. They had a bar/restaurant which sold snacks and drinks. It also had a bathroom you could use if needed. The sand was great and for having several cruise ships at port that day, it was not very crowded. Would go back again!

“Good family beach”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Galion Beach is fairly crowded but a good place for families. The water is shallow & very safe. Chairs cost €5 & umbrellas €5 for the day. Food is available at the beach bar but you have to eat there (no take-away). A 'beach boy' sets up chairs & umbrellas & will bring drinks to you. Great margheritas! Big plus: you can set up a tab & pay at the end of the day. Credit cards are accepted (except American Express).

“Family friendly beach”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

a very gentle beach with calm waters for swimming , beach chairs and umbrella and beach resturant reasonably priced, lots of shade as well from palm trees etc. wind surfing and kite flying main attraction out in the bay provide easy entertainment, local shops provide teaching and rentals, snorkling better past the first low water area, but watch for current pulling into the open bay. Family beach, many locals but not over crowded mos tdays.

“Calm Waters Not Far From Orient Beach”
Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

After spending several days at Orient Beach with some wave action we decided to find a beach with calm waters but not too far from our villa. Just around the bend we found Le Galion Beach. It was beautiful, calm, and very clean. It is a great bay for kids. It stays shallow all the way out. And on the far side their are sail surf rentals if you want some action. Snorkeling, however, was virtually non-existent. But the water was great.

“A break from the beaches of Orient Bay”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

A virtual lagoon to swim in for long distances, a lovely beach, where you can rent lounges and umbrellas and eat in a terrific cafe called Tropical Wave. Never crowded, or so it seemed on our three visits.
