The beach is in a cove with nice soft sand. The cove is protected so it is very safe for children. This is the first time we have been to this beach and it is not crowded except at weekend ehen the locals come. There is a small restaurant that makes food food with very good hambergers.

We stopped at this beach one day when we were just touring the Island and it's very nice. Small beach with calm water. A great family beach. There is a concession for food and drink or you can bring a picnic lunch and just hang out under one of the many shaded area's.

The road to Le Galion Beach is something else! It is mostly a dirt road with pot holes as big as moon craters. But once you get past that, the beach is calm and shallow. Children can play safely in the warm waters. However adult supervision is common sense when dealing with any beach. There is a small restaurant that sells "fast" food and beer.

Beautiful little bay!! Unfortunately, recent conditions blew ALOT of weed matter into the bay, mucking up the beach pretty badly. Shallow bay great for the kids nonetheless. If you go, eat at tropical wave--Great place for a great salad!!

My husband and I walked to Le Galion Beach from Orient Bay Beach. It was a bit hard to find, but we were glad we didn't give up. We were there in December, the high season, so the weather and water were perfect. The water was still and shallow, much different from the waves of Orient Bay. We were glad to be able to relax in the water for a little while without getting sloshed around. I will say, compared to Orient Bay this beach is very quiet and offers few venues in the way of entertainment. If you're looking for noise, you probably won't find it here.
