Description: Built in 1590, the Queen’s Head is a charming and stylish country pub in the picturesque village of Boughton-under-Blean with a warm atmosphere and excellent food and ale. Visitors can relax in the lounge by an open fire in the winter, enjoy a meal in the comfortable restaurant or soak up the sun on the veranda looking out over the pleasant garden during the summer. The Queen’s Head serves a delicious selection of freshly-prepared bar snacks and homemade dishes, with a blackboard of daily specials all of which you will find great value, as well as serving traditional cask ales, distinctive international lagers and a wide choice of good wines from independent producers around the world. We pride ourselves on being a “pub restaurant” in the best sense of both words, a real pub with a comprehensive range of wines and cask ales, but with the space, atmosphere and quality of food that makes us an ideal location for any occasion. Whether it is a family get together, a special celebration, a great value meal out when you don’t feel like cooking or even just a drink with friends, you will find a warm welcome at the Queen’s Head.Dogs – goats – chickens - alpacas, oh, and of course children are welcome! As we are a child and dog friendly pub we will be pleased to welcome all the family (even granny). To make your family time with us more enjoyable, we are pleased to provide for your use baby changing facilities, highchairs, water bowls and dog biscuits.

Have visited here on plenty of occasions. Now run out of physical people to tell so thought I'd write a review here.
Never had a bad meal, although it does get really really busy. Kid & dog friendly with a lovely little beer garden. Food great, beer well kept if not a little restricted in offerings. Nonetheless, it brings us back over & over, we recommend it to our friends & family & have used it for business lunches & family meals.
Incredibly friendly staff & landlord/chef - a real gem in East Kent.
See you again soon.

Thank cukpd

A short walk from the Linen Shed, is a Shepherd Neame pub which offers great beer and food at affordable prices.
Service from the staff was great and the chef going table to table asking for feedback shows how confident the team are in what they are doing while always looking to improve.

The chef prepared a totally different menu for me because of my food sensitivity issues and the rest of my group were very envious as my meal was just brilliant. The service was brilliant too. I look forward to our next visit

Grabbed a quick lunch here with friends as it is very conveniently positioned close to the M2, it has both a small quirky restaurant as well as a bigger bar area & a warm 'snug' by a fire. The guys' game pies were very tasty & served with nice fresh veg but my fish & chips were a little disappointing on this particular visit, soggy batter & rather well-done chips; however the service is excellent, the ambience friendly & staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble; our waitress was delightful & we will certainly return as we have done many times in the past. This is a great local & a perfect 'just off the motorway' stopping point.

Had a great meal here with friends. We were initially unsure as we had booked a table for 20:30 in the restaurant but on arrival we're told there would be a 20 minute wait or we could have a table in the bar. We opted for a table in the bar and we're glad that we did because it has a great atmosphere. The food (every course) was superb and at a very reasonable price - we Paid about £30 per head for 3 courses, drinks and coffee. The staff were lovely and the chef David came out to chat which was a nice touch because he must have been busy - the place was full! Have already recommended to friends and will definitely be going back. Just a pity we don't live closer!
