I have always read and heard about this Michelin starred chef, Roberto Petza, but never had the chance to taste one of his fabulous dishes. Saturday night me and my family were driving from north Sardinia to south, heading to Cagliari, when I said "why not trying there"? We had no reservations. but the manager (Domenico) told us to wait a little, as he was welcoming someone else. We were lucky and they were very kind: after only a few minutes wait they had one spare table due to no show and in we went (this wasn't late though about 8.30 pm). Its a beautiful place as others have said and you can tell by the pictures, tables aren't too close together, surronded by artist's pictures and sculptures. Dinner was great. The waiters were helpful and friendly and service was definately 5 star here. The bread was amazing (all homemade), as all the dishes. They had a good menu, We ordered two different “tasting menus”, to have the chance to taste more of Petza's dishes: everything was delicious! The bill was also a surprise, as we give credit when credit is due: some of the dishes were absolutely priceless... Its not even one of the more expensive places either. The food and service was top class and if you are in Sardinia I would definately recommend this gem for something different than the usual restaurants in town.
