Fabulous, unspoilt, quiet beach. Great waves for surfing and rock pools for the not so adventurous! A lovely cafe at the top of the cliff selling homemade cakes. Clean toilets. Parking free for National Trust cardholders.

This beach is stunning, when the tide is out there are large rocks to shelter amongst and sand for the kids to enjoy, The views are stunning - you could be anywhere in the world, so beautiful and Britain at it's best! Excellent National Trust parking, at a charge unless you are a NT member just above the beach and a small café shop before you walk down. GREAT place to visit!

After being asked if I wanted to join the National trust we paid £3.50. So what did we get? A parking space for what we thought would be a nice beach that was dog friendly.

We stopped off at the cafe and ordered lunch. Nothing fancy but clearly it was, as we waited 35 minutes to recieve a bacon roll and a chicken fajita.

That aside the biggest fault was that there were no bins except one Dog bin. A lady with children who had collected all her rubbish was told abruptly that she was to take her rubbish home with her. Not the most helpful suggestion I thought.

The beach is mainly pebbles so its not the easiest if you're unsteady on your feet or you have a buggy.

So, apart from it being a NT owned beach, was it worth it? I don't think so. The views from the cliff tops were brilliant but you wouldn't want to take children up there.

Put in some bins and it could be so much better, oh, and speed up the service at the cafe. Then it would be better
