Il Pertuso is a great B&B! We had an amazing time! It's away from the craziness of Positano, it's an easy bus trip down to Positano. The bus stop is just up the street and you can buy the tickets downstairs in their cafe. Breakfast is good, typical Italian breakfast. They can bring it up to you if you like. The rooms are very clean, full size shower. They supply small samples of shampoo and bars of soap, hair dryer. The beds very comfortable, free wifi which works good. No complaints, recommend 100% we would love to come back! The balcony room is worth it, beautiful view of the ocean. We had the orange room. Beautiful! Their a family run business, very helpful, friendly and kind! Thanks is much for the wonderful stay!

My team and I stayed at B&B Il Pertuso for 3 nights during one of our events in Positano. Rooms are really spacious, recently refurbished, airy, clean and with lovely terrace. There is no parking space and it hard to find where to leave your car, but I guess this is a problem in the whole area. Breakfast is simple but nice and frankly I rather spend 80 Euros here than 200 in a non 4 star hotel in Positano village. Wi-fi is slow, but free, bathroom really nice with a great shower box. Simple toiletries ( bring your own !) but proper hairdryer and plenty of clean towels every day. Many local options for a nice dinner around with Il Ritrovo one of the best. Shame that Chiara accepts only cash and does not give you a receipt !

We stayed for 7 days at the end of May 2013. Il Pertuso was a great choice. The room had a great view, bed very comfortable, room and bathroom spacious. Mini bar and tv. There is a bar and pizzeria downstairs. You can have breakfast on the balcony, a simple continental affair, great coffee. They will bring a pizza up to your room if you don't feel like going out.
Montepertuso is a small village overlooking Positano, there are several restaurants and a minimart. The bus service runs from Positano to Nocelle hourly. If you feel energetic you can walk upto Nocelle or down to Positano.
Free wifi available.
If you decide to hire a car when visiting the area, make sure it is the smallest car you can get and practise your reversing skills before you go... you'll realise why when you see how narrow the streets are! We managed well with out a car, relying on public transport and the odd taxi.

At first , the bus trip up to Montepertuso makes one think "oh no , what have I got myself into". After 1 day in Positano, I go "I've made the best choice!"

The location of Il Pertuso is great without having to climb steps, the bus ride is fun and besides the bird's eye view of positano, you get to see the locals socialising on the bus.
The place is super clean, they actually clean and change towels daily.and yes, all the reviews of warm welcome, packed breakfast, friendly family is all true :)
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when I go back to the amalfi coast!

I stayed in Il Pertuso in Montepertuso this summer and highly recommend it! It is family owned and run. The family owns a pizza parlor/bar/cafe below the hotel. They make an incredible cappuccino and will serve you breakfast any time you awake. Breakfast is usually a brioche (croissant), coffee and juice, and I was even treated to fruit from local trees, including Figs the size of my hand. Upon leaving, the owner packed me a bag with an extra pastry and fruit for my train trip! Couldn't be nicer. The hotel is newly rennovated and well cared for, with terraces that overlook the mountain and water. Montepertuso is located above Positano. I was there in the heat of summer but was happy to be in th mountain and receive an incredible view from my room. The bus to Positano runs on the half hour in high season and is located across the street from the hotel. Il Pertuso is located steps from Il Ritrovo, an incredible resaturant with the best pasta I have ever tasted. EVER, and I live in New York and frequent Italy. If you tell the owner at Il Ritrovo that you are staying in Il Pertuso, they will give you the royal treatment and incredible freebies: the owners are cousins! It was a lovely stay, I enjoyed both the hotel and the company of the daughters who help their parents run it. Highly recommended.
