My sister and I stayed at B&B Le Ghiande for 3 nights in May, and absolutely loved our time here. Let me firstly say that if you like to stay in the centre of the action, can't climb stairs, and want luxurious furniture and surroundings, this place won't be right for you. But please read on for our experience, which we both felt was wonderful.

ROOM: Our room had a wonderful terrace with a table and seating - the view is fantastic, of the water and surrounding mountains with houses perched on them. There were tea making facilities in the room, on a small wooden table, with chairs. There was also a wardrobe, with some hangers and spare wool blankets. There was a small flat screen TV, but the only english tv we managed to catch was a part of a movie late one evening after dinner. There is air conditioning in the room but we didn't use it as it was quite cool in evenings. The beds were very comfortable (if you're expecting white egyptian cotton sheets - this isn't the place for it - from memory one of us had a kids cartoon character duvet cover on her bed, which gave us both a giggle). The room is tiled.
BATHROOM: Towels are changed daily. Bathroom was spacious and very clean. There was a shower but no tub. We didn't use the toiletries they supplied (I remember they gave soap but not much else I think) as we had our own. There was a hairdryer supplied in a small chest of drawers in the bathroom too, which was great.
BREAKFAST: Breakfast was delicious and very filling. Every morning, Dmitri would ask for our choice of beverage (cappucino was absolutely delicious - I highly recommend it), and bring out warm croissants and buns for us. There is also yogurt, sliced bread, some cheese and meats, fruit, cereal, milk and juice. Special mention for the freshly baked treat every morning - usually some sort of biscuit - very yummy.
LOCATION: Lots of steps up to the entrance, which would be do-able with short breaks for most people. If you let Salvatore know in advance when you are coming up, he will have Dmitri meet you at the bus stop to take your luggage - Dmitri is amazing and super friendly, he just bounds up the stairs with 20 kilo bags. Bus stop is right in front of the B&B, which can take you down to Positano, or up to Nocelle. The bus tickets can be bought on board but are slightly cheaper when bought ahead of time at the Tobacco shop. Plenty of amazing restaurants within a 5/10 minute walk of the B&B, which we took advantage of for each of the 3 nights we stayed there (and it's very safe walking back late at night, but take a torch). We tried La Terra (highly recommend their lemon cake dessert, and excellent, friendly service), Donna Rosa (make sure you book and dress up slightly - your hiking boots will look out of place here - good food, expensive but worth it for a treat), and one other nearby restaurant starting with a 'S', which we also had a good time at.
HOST: Salvatore and Dmitri were just wonderful. We saw Salvatore about once a day, he was there to check us in and out too. He gave us tips on where to go and how best to get to various towns, and even made some dinner reservations for us! There is also a great selection of reading material on the local area near the breakfast area. Thanks Salvatore, you were very patient with us! Dmitri was such a sweetheart, practising his English and always ready with a smile at breakfast every morning, and always willing to help in any way he could.

Overall, we would return in a heartbeat. If you are after clean, simple, value-for-money accommodation and friendly, kind hosts/service, you can't go wrong here. We'll be back Salvatore! Aparna & Mya

Room Tip: Think most of the rooms all have terraces and the same view, but ask anyway!

Can't go wrong here unless you mind the 144 steps up to the place and down to the road for the bus. Comfortable room, great breakfasts, great view, most gracious of hosts. Good location for good restaurants.

This is a great place to stay, and infinitely better value than staying in Positano
You do need to be able to negotiate the 100+ steps up to the hotel, but luggage is no problem - Dmitry just picked them up and ran up with them!
Salavatore is a great host and very helpful.
It looks like all the rooms have great views.
Our only very minor gripe is that the beds are a little on the firm side.
It's a good walk down to Positano - it should take about 40 minutes but some of our party kept stopping to look at the flowers, so it actually took over 2 hours!
Only the extremely energetic would walk back, but there's a bus which delivers you to the foot of the steps.
There are some good restaurants within an easy walk

Room Tip: It looks like any room has a great view, but some have a balcony you can sit out on

We spent 3 nights at this B&B, after reading tripadvisor reviews. We had a private car transfer directly from the Naples Airport and I was so glad that we had organized the transfer with Salvatore prior to getting to Naples, because I was so jet-legged there was no way I could have made it safely to the B&B on my own.

We had a lovely room with a balcony - the room is clean and spacious (remember, it's in Europe) and the breakfast was fantastic. The view we had from our room and the breakfast area was absolutely amazing. It took us about 35-40mins to get down to the beach/Positano/Positano port and when we took a local bus, it took about 15mins to get down. The bus stops RIGHT in front of the B&B entrace and it runs every hour or so.

We also did the Path of Gods hike - left the B&B around 930am, took the boat to Amalfi around 10:30am, took the bus to Bomerano around 1130am and go back to our B&B around 4pm. We got lost in Nocelle but it was a wonderful hike.

Salvatore is just a wonderful, fantastic, friendly host and Dmitri is friendly and kind. I still think about the way Dmitri would ask me "cappuccino?" every morning and I chuckle. I highly recommend this place - if you want a clean, quiet place yet close to Positano.

We're a couple that got to this place following tripadvisor's advices. Not knowing really what to expect we were amazed as we got there... A breathtaking view at the terrace, we were welcomed with pastries and juices, and with a amazing kindness.
We were there for two nights, ended up cancelling all of our others reservations and styed for 5 nights!!! THE BEST DESITION!!
It's hard to describe the way we were treated, so much kindness, so many good vibes, by far the bet place I've benn too.
I'd like to greet Dimitri, Salvatore and Don Carlo (Salvatore's father) for beeing so nice with us.

Defenitively you've got to go to this B&B.
