Lovely, friendly staff, we have great meals there, that we eat in there for three night running. Views from the restaurant are stunning, service welcoming, warm and inviting. Food great, returning in the new year, for our third visit in the area

Stopped here last night on the way back from the airport at Bristol. It used to be very very good when it wasn't a Brewers Fayre, but now it is completely soulless. The waiters do not seem to know anything about food and the pastry on the Beef and ale pie had been microwaved and my husband could not eat it. He did say that the meat was very tender though. Yes, the prices are reasonable and my fish pie was very tasty, but you don't need chips with mashed potatoes, makes it completely unbalanced. The peas had been pinged and were hard in the centre. The only upside was the wine! Will never go there again!

We ate as a group of seven and the wait between courses was very long. It was only made tolerable by the fact that we hadn't seen eachother for a while and had plenty to catch up on.
The standard of the food was nothing to write home about, my steak being inedible and having to be returned. I did get a refund, but this didn't fill me up! We wished we'd gone out to eat elsewhere. The food at breakfast was good, but again, slow to arrive after ordering and we had hairdressers appointments to get to before a wedding. We were the first in at 7am so the staff weren't rushed off their feet.

this is a lovely building in a scenic location, the food is nothing to get too excited about but the prices are reasonable and the service is polite and friendly. i have eaten here half a dozen times and have never had a bad meal, but i have never had an amazing one either, as pub food goes it is very very good, as restaurant food goes it is slightly above average. the best time i had here was in winter when it was snowing, looking out and seeing the snow falling in the valley that the dining room looks out over whilst being in the warm and eating a hearty meal was a wonderful experience, although it was the view and atmosphere that i remember more than the food.
