“Great value for money!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

Great carvery! friendly staff, prices fair to middling.

Large car park but if fills up quick.
Avoid getting there late in the day or they may run out of food!
If you have a large party ring an reserve a table don't just wing it this place is popular!

However the food is always consistent (only ever had carvery) good quality choice of 3 meats, roast potatoes that a crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle and there is always plenty of crackling, good selection of veg and lush gravy.

Vegy option is available just ask the staff for veg gravey etc

only down side is no real ales still the place is having a refit soon so watch this space.

Other than that highly recommended !!

“Very nice carvers meal!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

We went last night quite late on with 3 adults and 3 kids!
We were shown to the table quickly which we had booked in advance.
There was no fuss and once I'd paid for the food and ordered drinks, we all went up to the carvery.
There was beef, turkey and ham. All were lovely and the meat portion was excellent.
There was plenty of veg and it tasted great.
We shall return again.

“best value around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

Just returned from having a lovely family carvery at the star inn
Staff very helpful in telling us how it all works
Meat was plentiful and veg was all fresh and hot
The gravy was also piping hot
The whole place was full , yet the staff kept the tables clear all around us and offered more drinks or desserts
We had a groupon voucher 4 carvery for £12 but even at full price would have been a bargain plus it was peak 7pm on a Saturday night
Will reccomend and also return

“Dont's arrive late”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

We went on a Groupon with friends, so very cheap, and it was good value for that, even full price is. However, we arranged the meal for 7pm on a Thursday evening, and had a beer with our friends before eating. At about 7:20 we were told to hurry up or there would be no food left, as it was there was a scrap of beef, a bit of fatty ham, and turkey, so we all had turkey! There was a lot of meat each, the veg were ok, although the roast potatoes were hard as rocks, I guess they had been there a while. By 8:30 the place was empty and the staff were cleaning the floor around us, so not the place for a leisurely drink after your meal.

“Good Quality Carvery”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

We went here on a 'groupon' carvery deal and we were pleasantly surprised. All food was piping hot and meat was succulent and so delicious. The only minus for us that the restaurant was really lacking in atmosphere. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
