This was definitely a highlight from our recent trip to Switzerland.

When you get to the base, there's loads of parking and not long to wait for the cable car: it runs every 20 minutes.

Once up there, everything was incredible. We did the peak walk, alpine coaster and the glacier walk.

The peak walk was a bit scary as it was a windy day but definitely worth it. The view from that side was unmissable.

The alpine coaster was a lot of fun. You can set your speed so can go as fast or slow as you want, and winding through the hills was such a great experience.

Finally the glacier walk. We didn't do it all because of timings but it was so refreshing to be there and walking around the glacier.

We went in August and it was a bit cool, so would recommend long sleeves, wind breaker and good trainers for when you're up there.

2-3 hours is the recommended time to spend there.

If you’re in the area, this is a once in a life time experience. We visited in August and while there was no snow on the peak walk itself, it was very cold and there was snow on the peaks. Make sure you wear layers! Also i recommend going early in the morning to avoid crowds. We were in the first group to go up which was not crowded and relaxing. However, by the time we left the cable cars going up were packed. Worth it to get up early on this one

Glacier 3000 is a quick trip to 10,000 feet above sea level. Take an easy bus to the first of two cable car rides. Climb some steps to walk on a metal footbridge strung from peak to peak. The air was clear. The views were exceptional, and everyone was thrilled. Check to insure that the weather makes the visit possible. Unfortunately, it was quite crowded due to a large tour group that had the same idea to visit the glacier. Also, we had planned to hike to a cantilevered restaurant, La Refuge, for lunch. We should have checked in advance, but it was not open. Though we did not get to hike, the experience was well worth the visit.

we had a wonderful day up on Glacier 3000. 2 cable cars took us to the top where you can walk across a suspended bridge with views to die for, take a luge ride, play in the summer snow. After a hearty lunch we took the snow truck to the peak of the glacier for a hot drink in the winter hut. on the way down we stopped at the diableret village to admire the old and new wooden chalet decorated with abundance of flowers and flags.
so picturesque.

Well organized site in a beautiful location.
A lot of activities to fill a whole day for all family members, before and after admiring the scenery.
Don’t give up hiking to Quille du Diable at the edge of the glacier!
Staff were nice and helpful.
