The glacier offers very good slopes and services, good for beginners and advances. Advice: bring a cover for the face, because the wind can be quite aggressive!
The view form the glacier is fascinating...

Took the cable to go up. Walk to the glacier up to that huge rock..amazing view of the swiss mountains. Everybody who visit it in the summer should try the roller coaster!! No brakes!

We visited Glacier3000 three days after it had opened for the season. It was easy to get to by local bus from Gstaad to Col du Pillon and then 2 cable cars.
The views on the way up on the cable cars are amazing and them at the top spectacular.
We were lucky, it was a clear day and we reckoned we could see 5 countries. It is worth checking the webcam before committing to going up there. The Eiger and Jungfrau were visible and looked like a stones throw away!
The cafe/ restaurant was efficiently run and friendly, all staff we came across here and at the resort spoke English, French, German and probably other languages!!! I can recommend the coffee macchiato! There is an outside terrace with plenty of seating - some of which had sheepskin rugs on them.
There was a new bridge which you could walk across which offered more views. This was quite exhilarating for me - scared of heights!
There was also an Alpine Coaster ride (which was closed when we were there) - like a mini roller coaster. Looked great fun!
Many people where skiing and snow boarding but we caught the chairlift up and down and followed the path by foot across part of the glacier. Again the views were amazing! It was so quiet too!

Highly recommended day out!

This was a truly memorable outing! The cable car station is just half an hour from Gstaad rly station by local bus.Two cable car trips and you have ascended 1500metres to a height of 3000 meters hence the name Glacier3000! Once on top you are greeted by an expanse of snow and ice.The view is breathtaking and to top it all one can walk on the snow, take a chair car ride to the snow fields below. The cafeteria is well stocked with a variety of edibles. It was with a heavy heart when we took the journey back .

We stayed in a hotel in Les Diablerets. All tour members went for optional Jungfrau tour, we went to Glacier 3000. From hotel to starting point where cable car to mountain top starts, we went by local bus. Went up by cable car. It was very cold up there. You will really enjoy this. I always like to go by own instead of tour operator, so that feel like a local with going by bus, tram, and metro.
