Just returne£ from the Drake Longchamp Hotel, staying there from Aug 19-26, the hotel is situated at 7 Rue Butini and is just 3 stops on the tram, or a 20min walk from Geneva’s main train station, which in turn is only 6mins on the train from the airport, and is FREE when you get a tourist ticket from the machine next to the left luggage counter as you come into the arrivals hall, the ticket gives you 80mins FREE travel on the train to the city centre and the trams, so is ample time to get to the hotel, the hotel itself is very nice indeed, and is worth more than it’s 3 stars, the foyer is modern and spotless, the receptionists were all extremely helpful in giving me information about this lovely city, (especially RAPHAEL, many thanks Raphael), the room I was in, (782) was very tastefully done with pastel coloured walls and fully carpeted floor, double bed, (unfortunately 2 singles pushed to gether but still very comfortable), writing desk and chair, 32inch t.v.,with BBC and ITV channels, as well as other English channels, ample storage for clothes, fridge with mini bar, safe, small kitchen with kettle and cooker with cutlery and utensils, toilet and hand basin with mirror, a excellent shower with free toiletries, and the towels changed on a regular basis, unfortunately there was no air con, HOWEVER, there was a 24inch diameter free standing fan which you could adjust to the required height, which I left on as I lay in bed at night, and was probably better than air-con, which is usually at the very top of the wall up near the ceiling, breakfasts were also very good with tea, coffee, fruit juices, cheeses, ham, with fresh crusty bread, and you could also have a decent size portion of scrambled eggs on toast if you were prepared to pay 5CHF, the hotel is only a 3 minute walk to the lake Geneva with plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk, the Drake Longchamp is situated behind the 5star President Wilson hotel which stands on the main road right next to the lake, and in close proximity to the Grand Hotel Kempinski, the Beau Rivage, The Ritz Carlton, and The D’ Angliterre to name but a few, but certainly does not look out of place, and if I ever came to back to this lovely city I could quite easily stay here again, two points worth noting for prospective guests here is you have to pay a city tourist tax of 3.3CHF per person per night which you on departure, the that particular blow is sofned with the tourist card you will be given at check -in, this card can be used on buses and trams around the city and also on the small yellow boats which cross from one side of the lake to the other in the Geneva centre, and can save you a fair amount of Swiss francs if you are travelling with your family, just go and enjoy?. RECOMMENDED

Room tip: The hotel is on a side street and so didn’t get much noise ,I was on the sixth floor so got a decent view of the lake

I stayed for 2 nights for a conference At Palexpo. Palexpo is quite far from the city but from here you can take tram to Nations and catch bus 5 to Palexpo and airport.
I was stranded as I booked my hotel through Agoda and Agoda cancelled my reservation at another hotel without informing me. With the conference, all hotels were full and Geneva is a very expensive city. Anyhow, after multiple tries, I got a booking at this hotel.
Very basic and old amenities but sparkling clean! Everyone was very nice and helpful. That counts for a lot.
Will I come back? Yes if I’m on a budget. It’s great value for a spacious room with kitchenette.
Close walking distance to the lake and restaurants

It is 30 degrees in Geneva at the moment. There is no air con here just a fan. The windows have strange security locks which need unlocking by the receptionist. The WiFi instructions handed out on paper were wrong. I arrived at 10.20 and there was nowhere to eat or drink and no room service. Will not be coming back here and can not recommend.

This is a very basic hotel with a great location to public transit and walkable to the lake or historic section. That is all the good news. It is getting warm in May with indoor temperature of 75 degrees so I am not sure how it will be in summer. Room furnishings and rugs are getting older. This hotel offers an interesting wine bar and complimentary continental breakfast plus decent wi fi. Missing is an in room coffee maker and pots for the mini kitchen. Generally thing are hit or miss

I stayed here for one week in November.

Nice hotel the bar section is great for a drink or to lounge.

Breakfast room is quite small but a good selection of food.

The staff were very friendly and polite, happy to guide you in the direction of attractions and the city.

When you check in you will be provided with a travel card which gives you free travel for the whole of Switzerland for public transport .The trams will take you into the city you can also walk to most places as the hotel is in a great location.

Overall a nice hotel. Nice rooms and clean hotel.
