We have just returned from a 3 night stay in the beautiful Chapel House. I am seriously picky when it comes to booking accommodation and this did not disappoint. it's the Peak District at its best, with cosy two pubs a stones throw away. Don't waste hours like i did looking at every property going, just book this one :0)

Chapel Cottage was the perfect retreat. Plenty of space, but very cosy. Great communal living space. The village of Brassington was ideal - with two nice pubs and immediate access to the moors. We went walking every day and didn't need to get in the car once. David was really helpful - he left lots of information and answered all of our questions. I'd definitely recommend this lovely cottage.
We chose Chapel House for our week in the Peak District based on its quirky look, quiet location and good reviews. We weren't disappointed. Chapel House had everything we needed to relax and recover after our days out walking/sightseeing. There were walks from the village and it didn't take long to get to most other Peak District destinations.
The only downside? As it was so cosy inside with the log-burner at full blast we didn't make use of the two village pubs as much as we thought we would! Maybe a return visit in the summer months might remedy this...

After scouting the internet for hours, I happened upon Chapel House by complete accident. I went through all the photos and read all the complimenting reviews I concluded that this place could not possibly be real.
Chapel House lives up to everything it is praised to be. Nestled in the quiet and friendly village of Brassington, the rented property sits high up on the hillside just past the beautiful and old church.
Just outside Chapel House is a whole array of walks and ventures to be had.
Inside the house is perfection. It's cosy but has endless amounts of character which makes this holiday home a very unique experience. It has everything that you need whether it be for a long week vacation or a short weekend break.
I found Chapel House to be a place that I would not only recommended to a friend, family member or any avid traveller but is also a property that I hope to return to one day.
For the decent price, and the professional and friendly contact with the owner, Mr. Mossman, Chapel House is a place that I cannot speak of highly enough!

This was an ideal place for us to stay with our 3 teenage children. We enjoyed lots of cycling on the local cycle paths and found the chapel very comfortable with everything we needed. Hope to be back. Highly recommended.
We adore this part of the Derbyshire Dales & were hoping to find the perfect holiday retreat - Chapel House did not disappoint! We arrived before the sun started to set & found the House warm and inviting. The conversion is truly distinctive & the staircase design is one of a kind!
It's advisable to travel in daylight and study a map of Brassington before leaving - the house is located on a narrow sleepy road & it's easy to get lost if you aren't prepared!
Brassington is a beautiful serene village - there are plenty of picturesque walks to go on not far from the house. We can recommend climbing to the top of the hill to watch the sun set! We can also highly recommend the Miners pub, the home made food was delicious and the chef catered to our requirements!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, David was very helpful and easy to contact.

We have just returned fully relaxed from another holiday at Chapel House - we cannot get enough of the place. Ideally located for venturing into Derbyshire this property offers all the comforts and facilities you could wish for. Situated in a cosy and friendly little village which now has the added bonus of a "shop" which must be seen.
Thanks David - we will be in touch soon to make another booking.
