A lovely, quirky rental in a great location!
Absolutely loved the place.
We’ll be back and I have recommended to several outdoors-minded friends!
We had a lovely stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. There was everything needed for our short break. There a numerous walks from the village and two pubs which are also dog friendly. We look forward to our next visit.
Cosy cottage above Cromford and close to Matlock and Carsington Water. We stayed for two nights, sadly the weather decided to be very foggy and cold, so we were unable to appreciate the views! On arrival the cottage was quite chilly, but following a phone call to owner Brian (who kindly advised us how to override the heating) it soon warmed up. Also fuel etc. were provided for the log burner, which made for an enjoyable evening in with a glass or two of wine. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Great that we were able to take our four legged friend too!
Stayed in Honeysuckle Cottage 19th to 21st March. Great small cottage with everything you need for a short stay.
Situated close to Matlock Bath with all it has to offer. The two pubs in Middleton ( Rising Sun and The Nelson) both dog friendly and very welcoming even after traipsing through various walks.
Will definitely revisit.
Honeysuckle cottage has been renovated to a high standard and is perfect for a couple looking for a comfortable place to stay. Close to shops and convenient for exploring the Peak District.
My husband and I had a relaxing weekend stay in this fab cottage!
Everything was well laid out and we enjoyed an evening by the fire after for an early dinner in nearby Matlock . The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout with a large comfy bed to rest after a day exploring the local area. The cottage is on a quiet street in the village with great views across the valley from the upstairs bedroom . We were inspired to enjoy the countryside and took a walk from the cottage across Middleton moor to join the high peak trail to the Black rocks and were lucky to enjoy great views across nearby Cromford to Matlock on a sunny January morning ! There is a small private terrace behind the cottage where you can sit with a drink which would fabulous in warmer weather . I would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing get away and a good location to explore all that this part of Derbyshire has to offer.
