Description: This beautiful 16th Century village Inn is ideally located on the banks of the River Frome at Freshford, on the outskirts of Bath. The surrounding countryside is part of The Cotswolds Area Of Outstanding Beauty and is favoured by many cyclists, joggers and walkers - the pick of the trails being the Two Valleys Walk. With original timber beams, open fires, a pretty beer garden, ample car parking and a very warm welcome - the Inn is a true destination pub serving great food, real ales and fine wines.

Had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and the food was very good. As we were staying locally we went back for a second night because it was so tasty. Had 2 lovely meals.

The food was average pub fare with vegetables bordering on bland. Desserts very overpriced for what you get. Seats hard, toilets freezing cold and in need of modernization. Food times published on website are incorrect. Food doesn't start at 5pm it starts at 6.30 (despite daytime bar staff telling us it was 5.30 / 6pm) It's a nice pub with a laid back vibe though and the staff were polite and service very efficient once food was ordered.

Food good although could have done with more veg with the fish pie. Nice friendly staff. Went on a Thursday and they had a jazz band playing - very good.

Overall a nice experience.

Just fab!! Food was great and fresh and tasty and interesting, veg was a bit on the scrimpy side but the size of the pie made up for it. Staff were lovely, ambiance was great and a superb live band. Ciders on tap were awesome, great beer garden outside, great locals and a beautiful setting!!
