Our family of four recently stayed at the Kanderlodge. Some of us are members of scouting but not all of us. (You don’t have to be a scout to stay). The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. On checkout you just need to give your room a quick vacuum and strip your beds which is one of the reasons why the accommodation is so reasonably priced. Most staff are volunteers from all over the world and they were all friendly and went out of their way to assist us. It was very enjoyable having dinner with new people from all over the world each night as the tables seat eight. The area is spectacularly beautiful with so many activities to participate in. If it is snowing or icy it would be best not to walk to or from the station with your luggage so either check when the village bus is running (particularly if you arrive before the official start of the ski season) or what options the centre has. If you don’t have luggage the walk is fine. The staff were great with helping us sort out skiing options as we arrived before the official start of the season. The internet worked very well. Staying here has been one of the highlights of our Europe holiday.

I had one of the best experiences ever. I went and they game me many different activities to do, I met new people and new places. One of the activities they gave us was white water rafting, it was absolutely beautiful and wonderful I will definitely go back. They also sent us to a lake in a mountain, which was spectacular. We also went to the tallest train station in the world. We went on many walks and trips it was beautiful. This place has a very wonderful view.

This location was very nice and it was close to the small city, the city is very nice and has all things you need even if it is small, one of the things that amazed me was how they could have all theses amazing attractions inma very small town. In the morning when you woke up you would see the mountains and people paragliding.

The hotel was nice and the beds were comfortable we slept very well in this hotel, in the hotel there were lots of attractions, such as a ping pong table. At supper they would have camp fires and song which would entertain you. Even though cost a lot of moneys it is worth spending. The staff were very nice and friendly, there was a touch shop and their own scarf so you could remember your visit.

Spent a couple of weeks KISC with my family as part of a BSA trip. This was the first trip for our family and everyone in our group to Switzerland / KISC.
We stayed in the Old Chalet. The rooms are basic but clean and sufficient for our needs. The bathrooms are shared. The pinkie staff was pleasant and professional throughout our stay. KISC was a great home base for day trips throughout Switzerland. We did have some of the meals. They were inexpensive by Swiss standard. In general, the meals were better than other camp food I have had but you should not be expecting restaurant quality. The overall affordability of KISC cannot be beat. You do not have to be a part of scouting to stay here. Kandersteg is a beautiful and charming place.

When we arrived at the receptionist, the staff was so friendly, and one of them explained how KISC works very details, and also giving us tips to explore the surrounding areas.

We pitched our tent. And it is no wifi or electricity. They gave us a recycling kit. The bathroom is always full with scouts. It's noisy during the day, but so quiet at night.

Kandersteg is pretty, many places that you can explore. And you will get many options at the receptionist.

if you want to shower, there is warm water, and you don't have to pay extra.
And if you want to use a freezer, they have a room for it.

It costs us 60 CHF for 2 nights 2 person with a tent.
