Visited as part of a package trip, general areas and room were clean and tidy, sadly no tea or coffee making facilities in room, although a safe was provided. Meals were adequate although the dining area got a bit crowded at times. The staff could have been more helpful and friendly . The hotel is situated out of Leysin up a very steep road with hairpin bends not for the faint hearted, there is a steep path to the town plus a bus service, not a deal to do in the town but worth a look round and take a trip up the mountain on the cable car. On the whole a pleasant experience in a nice area though somewhat expensive. Well organised by Slacks Coaches of Matlock, including various excursions to various places of interest.

The location high up in the mountains was lovely and my first reaction was Wow. It is up a long zig-zag road from the bottom (took about 30 minutes drive) and the hotel itself is a steep 10 minute walk down to the village.
The building is lovely, lots of traditional wood. Our room was very spacious, though the pillows were too soft for my liking - a personal thing. A couple of things in the room weren't working but when we reported them they were fixed straight away.
There were 3 or 4 coach parties in so the buffet dinner was a bit crowded at times. The salad selection and desserts were good. The main courses were a bit limited and the veg left a lot to be desired. The staff in the restaurant and the bar weren't very helpful or particularly polite or efficient. Our room had a very spacious balcony with superb views - for me it was a real "away from it all" place to stay.

A large hotel with all the expected amenities, indoor pool, and something called a ‘wellness centre’ . It’s not the most attractive hotel that I’ve stayed in, the bar is unusually small, located adjacent to the reception desk and operated by whatever staff is running reception.

The rooms are large if somewhat spartan, no beverage making facilities (even Premier inn has that), no telephone, no fridge. A good sized bathroom with the deepest tub that I’ve ever encountered, for someone in his 70th year getting into the tub is an adventure, once in plenty of hot water, and a shower head that had a ‘life of its own.

If needed our room had two bunk beds that folded down from the wall (one above the other), which would still give you comfortable space to maneuverer about.
The hotel does seem to cater to the coach trade, during our stay, the remainder of our floor was occupied, four to a room by energetic teenagers, whom naturally were noisy.

The breakfast is European buffet style, and from my viewpoint one to be avoided, did not experience the dinner menu, but observation showed that the greater number of the table were reserved (coach parties?).

I don’t believe that this hotel, caters to my requirements, and was tried because it is directly opposite the apartment the we have rented for the week.

We looked forward to stay high up in the beautiful mountains and enjoy one night stay at this hotell with dinner etc. We arrived at 9pm and the restaurant closed at this time. The resepsjonist called the restaurant to check if we could eat dinner witch we got. When we arrived the restaurant the staff was stressed and pushy all the time. If they not had time for letting us eating dinner they should say «no sorry the restaurant is closed». We got stressed couse of the staff and we dident had a nice dinner at all. The room was dark, not much space, the toilett was broken, no minibar or coffee at the room. Simple dark interior. The beds was just OK! Breakfast is okey.. The view from the hotell it beautiful! There was some people who stayed over us witch was annoying and rude. They throved things over the balcony, shouted high down to someone else, troved things down from level high up, etc. Is was awful. We called the resepsjon so they could take care of this, witch they did. But it disturbed our whole stay.

I know this is only a 3 star hotel,- but it is really below standard, it should have max 2 stars. The hotel is a mess of styles,- really confusing and kitchy. A bit deppressing really. We stayed for one night on our travel from Cote D'Azur to Norway,- and enjoyed the view as the only positive. Food quality is just the same in a factory,- tasteless and cheap. Dark and almost dirty,- toalet broken,- nothing in the room. Factory breakfast,- terribble guests that are shouting and screaming all day and evening,- partly rude personell in breakfast area,- so our "Swiss" experience with the scenery was partly broken. Avoid this hotel and find a higher class hotel with a view instead is our reccomendation.
