We got a surprise to realise that it was a set menu only, but from the amuse-bouche to the desert, the meal was absolutely delicious. A real treat and a good deal. I’d say that everything was freshly made including the salad sauce and everything was served in a relaxed, simple, country style. The cold apple soup was amazing. Even the endless supply of delicious fresh bread impressed. There is a fixed price for the menu but if you don’t want all the courses then they are just subtracted from the total.
And then then there’s the view! Unbeatable!
Very relaxed atmosphere with extremely friendly staff.
We discovered this restaurant via the “Luzern Prozentbuch” but even without a discount voucher, we will be sure to go again.

We stayed here one night and ate in the restaurant which has beautiful views.
They only had a set menu which was expensive.
We were asked if we wanted to pay in swiss francs and said yes.
The bill was 69 francs and only noticed after we had left that we were charged 69 euro...
Our room was very basic, no tea or coffee making facilities and bathroom was pretty awful decor with a very rusty old bar heater sitting above shower ...
The views from the restaurant balcony are stunning.
Hotel is not close to town .
Breakfast was ok,very nice jam.

What a hidden gem with an incredible view! Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. It takes about 25 minutes to go to Luzern from the hotel by car. The hotel provides a card which gives you free access to the Lido beach down on the water front (great added value!). Spacious room with very basic furniture. However, it is very clean and has a great balcony (with the stunning view!). The exterior setup for the restaurant is superb (like what you see in the pictures). The breakfast was standard but very good. All in all a very good hotel to stay.

The staff made us feel really, really welcome!

Typically Swiss, the rooms are rather cramped and old fashioned. The view is fantastic and they have done their best to infuse a little bit of modernity and humour into the rooms and the more recently refurbished common areas.

We had dinner which was a set menu – no choice then, but since each course was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS we had no complaints!

Highly recommended.

This was ours and our friend's favorite hotel during our recent trip. The rooms were large, simple and clean, which was perfect. It made for a wonderfully restful sleep. We had a balcony that overlooked the lake and mountains, it took our breath away. We were planning on doing a lot of exploring but ended up sitting on the balcony enjoying a bottle of wine instead, it was perfection! The restaurant had a wonderful 4 course family-style dinner that evening which was delicious. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. We wished, and are planning, to stay even longer next time.

Room tip: Higher rooms have less ambient noise from the restaurant.
