It's right on the slopes and has one of the best views in the region. Lovely outside when its sunny but it does get very busy in season, booking a must. Good staff and consistently yummy food that's perfect for lunch. Non skiers can join from the Villars/Bretaye train, we have pushed push chairs through the snow to get there!

Must order the mushroom fondue = very yummy, Beef anything is really tender and nice, atmosphere was excellent. Birthday cake was surprisingly delicious with a layer of apple something, not quite sure what it was, but it went down well.

We skied to this mountain side restaurant and the raclette was fantastic ! The views over the mountains plus the food made for a very enjoyable day.

We booked a table at the Restaurant du Golf, Villars, planning to ski over there, have a leisurely lunch in the sunshine and then ski back. The restaurant operates on 2 booking times for lunch and we booked for 1:30pm. However, we were not seated until nearly 2pm and we did not receive any food until 3pm... When, after having been there 1hr 20 mins, we enquired about how long our food would take, the staff merely shrugged their shoulders. They could not have given a better impression of not caring. When the food finally arrived it was dreadful. The croute royale was quite literally a piece of white sliced bread with some melted cheese on top - and they were charging CHF24 for it!
All in all this restaurant, the food and the service is an absolute disgrace. Such a shame.

We have been coming to this place for years throughout the seasons. What a wonderful quintessential oasis after a few great runs. The fondue is excellent, anything with the house pomme Frits are great. We love their goat cheese in phyllo dough with salad that was offset by a dark vinaigrette and winter greens. Steak was tough ( these cows are made for milking!) but sauces are delicious. house fruit tarts are a must, finish off with a mildly roasted coffee! Never disappointed.

A number of the front facing staff are Portuguese and speak some english, they are very tolerant or broken French and great with kids.

Be sure to make reservations! We witnessed them turn away some very cold and disappointed skier. You can also access this place by the train getting off at the station... Le golf ...and
walking with snow boots for 8 mins. Good meeting point at the middle of the day for non skiers.
