My partner and I were lucky enough to stay at the lodge in the master suite for 5 nights, which was a beautiful well appointed room with a well proportioned seating area, gorgeous bath tub, fire place and the most spectacular views of Verbier and the Swiss Alps. The master suite comes with a never ending mini bar which my partner made full use of!
The staff at the lodge are all very personable; as many reviewers have said ' nothing is too much trouble', it doesn't matter whether you want food or drinks, the staff are on hand to get whatever you want, whenever you want.
The food at the lodge is definitely a highlight. The dinner menu is set out at breakfast giving you plenty of time to make any changes if so desired. Dan is the chef at the lodge and he explains the evening meal before its served. The food was wonderful and he catered well for individual preferences and my food intolerances too! Meals are communal gatherings so I can see for some people this may be an issue if you'd prefer to dine with just your family and friends, however you do have the option for private dining should you wish. We opted for this on one of our evenings and it made a really lovely change, Julie was wonderful in arranging this for us. It's also useful to note that you can have a picnic prepared for you if your going to be out and about at lunch time which is a nice touch.
The lodge is spacious enough that even if at maximum occupancy you still feel like you have your own personal space. You can if you wish make full use of the pool, gym, hot tub, games areas or just simply sit in the lounge with coffee and newspapers, there's also a good selection of books and games to keep you occupied. Verbier itself is a lovely little resort with a multitude of activities and outdoor pursuits for all age ranges to try and is just as stunning in summer as in winter.
All the staff at the lodge were really friendly and helpful during our stay but special mention must go to Julie for being a great people person, Hayley for the most amazing customer service, sorting our picnic out etc and Victoria for the best spa treatments ever!
In summary the lodge is a wonderful homely space that feels more like a family home than a business, you get to meet some wonderful people during your stay, some of which felt more like friends by the end of the 5 days, your every wish is catered for, meals are exceptional and you certainly leave feeling well rested and relaxed, if not a few pounds heavier though! Thank you all for a lovely stay.
