“Rest and relaxation assured!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

My partner and I were lucky enough to stay at the lodge in the master suite for 5 nights, which was a beautiful well appointed room with a well proportioned seating area, gorgeous bath tub, fire place and the most spectacular views of Verbier and the Swiss Alps. The master suite comes with a never ending mini bar which my partner made full use of!

The staff at the lodge are all very personable; as many reviewers have said ' nothing is too much trouble', it doesn't matter whether you want food or drinks, the staff are on hand to get whatever you want, whenever you want.

The food at the lodge is definitely a highlight. The dinner menu is set out at breakfast giving you plenty of time to make any changes if so desired. Dan is the chef at the lodge and he explains the evening meal before its served. The food was wonderful and he catered well for individual preferences and my food intolerances too! Meals are communal gatherings so I can see for some people this may be an issue if you'd prefer to dine with just your family and friends, however you do have the option for private dining should you wish. We opted for this on one of our evenings and it made a really lovely change, Julie was wonderful in arranging this for us. It's also useful to note that you can have a picnic prepared for you if your going to be out and about at lunch time which is a nice touch.

The lodge is spacious enough that even if at maximum occupancy you still feel like you have your own personal space. You can if you wish make full use of the pool, gym, hot tub, games areas or just simply sit in the lounge with coffee and newspapers, there's also a good selection of books and games to keep you occupied. Verbier itself is a lovely little resort with a multitude of activities and outdoor pursuits for all age ranges to try and is just as stunning in summer as in winter.

All the staff at the lodge were really friendly and helpful during our stay but special mention must go to Julie for being a great people person, Hayley for the most amazing customer service, sorting our picnic out etc and Victoria for the best spa treatments ever!

In summary the lodge is a wonderful homely space that feels more like a family home than a business, you get to meet some wonderful people during your stay, some of which felt more like friends by the end of the 5 days, your every wish is catered for, meals are exceptional and you certainly leave feeling well rested and relaxed, if not a few pounds heavier though! Thank you all for a lovely stay.

From the moment we were collected from the train station we were treated like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble and the attention to detail is second to none! All the staff work so hard to make your stay so enjoyable and relaxing and nothing is too much trouble. We were in one of the master suites and they certainly have the 'wow' factor. The views were amazing. It was very hot when we stayed so the only little niggle is lack of aircon in the room but the lodge is specifically built for the winter and I could just imaging curling up in front of the log fire!

We used everything except the bath in the room. The hot tub was excellent and the Champagne just kept flowing! Victoria gives an excellent massage. We had the whole lodge to ourselves onthe first night and were spoilt rotten! Would definitely love to go back again, especially in the winter. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable stay only wish it was longer!

P.S please take take Pebbles a walk, she loves sticks and is so funny

We spent 5 nights at the Lodge.and everything was even better than we'd hoped for and we had high expectations. On arrival, we were offered champagne and from then on, the drinks flowed as often as you wanted. The meals were top notch and cooked by Dan, the chef, and you could order 'off piste' if you wanted, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious with en-suites and the beds were very comfortable. Every member of staff gave 100% and made every guest feel welcome and treated equally. The only criticism I have is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms and I had the only fan in the place, as it was very humid. I would definitely return to this paradise hiding in the mountains

Room Tip: Everywhere was great, you won't be disappointed

We really enjoyed our stay of 4 nights. The Lodge is beautiful and each member of staff was great - nothing was too much trouble.
The food was superb - all guests staying at The Lodge eat together in the evening with a set menu (although if there was anything you didn't fancy you could always request an alternative, as the menu for the evening meal was put out at breakfast) and the canapes before dinner were divine. The other guests staying there were all good fun, so we had very entertaining evenings and felt like we were amongst old friends. The wines served with the meals were amazing.
Picnics were provided if you were out and about during the day and not around for lunch, along with advice of where to go and what to see.
The attention to detail was astounding. You are able to complete a form before arriving of personal favourites and dislikes for food/wine/drinks, which made the whole stay so personal.
Thanks for a fantastic stay; we now have every intention of trying some of Branson's other properties.

We spent 5 nights at the Lodge, and it was a great experience. First... all positive reviews are right. The staff is fabulous, the rooms are great, they threat our 5 year old like part of the family. The full service offer include an excellent wine selection, drinks like at home (even better, thanks for the nice recommendation from other guests... Bill^s digestive... ). Dinner was nice always with nice people and the chef (during our first nights the sous chef) selected a great 3 course dinner, followed by cheese. We had a great time, met nice people and had great conversations. Sir Richard, please open more places like this ... and again applause to the staff.

Room Tip: All rooms are great ...

We appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and for the 6 out of 5! We hope that we’ll get to welcome you back to The Lodge again next summer.

First off all, The Lodge is not cheap, but it is value for money!

The Lodge itself is beautiful. Our family stayed for a week sharing the master suite and a room on the 3rd floor (including our soon to be two year old). The views are breath taking and the rooms and communal areas are beautiful.

It was early summer when we visited and Verbier hadn't really got going. However, we found it quiet, peaceful and easy to get around.

What makes the Lodge so great is down to two things - the food and the staff!

Imagine a top London restaurant serving no more that 24 people per night - well, that's what you get at the Lodge. If you don't like what's on the menu, they will go and find you something that you do like. Our two year old was spoiled - even he enjoyed a great variety and quality of food. The sea bass that we had one night was easily one of the best meals I've had. Even better, the chefs come out and explain what's on the menu and they welcome you into the kitchen if you want to pick up some tips or just want to be nosey!

But it's the staff that make the Lodge a must visit destination. Nothing is too much for them, from being picked up from the station, organising lift passes, recommending walking routes, making picnics through to driving you around town. One morning we asked to be dropped off at the toy shop so our little one could spend his pocket money. As well as driving us there and back, James also went around the shop with our son helping him pick out some great toys!

We will, without doubt, return to Lodge as soon as we can!

Room Tip: Spoil yourself, go for a master suite (complete with Sky+!). However, all the rooms that we saw were...
