I asked a local guy where he would recommend and he suggested La Grange. I'm glad I took his advice.
I was welcomed charmingly and seated in a lovely position on the terrace. (This is actually worthy of note if you're eating alone). Lovely bread was quickly brought and the waitress gave helpful advice on the choice of wine (even by the glass).
I ordered the entrecôte and asked for it "bleu". It was a gorgeous piece of beef and prepared to perfection. The waitress recommended the rosti and it was a delicious meal. Good coffee to follow.
And,dare I say it, a very reasonable bill. (Even for Verbier)
I had plenty of time to look at the food being lovingly brought for other diners. Splendid.
I will go back, next time to share it with friends.
