We spent the first week of our honeymoon at the beginning of August in the Hotel Bristol. What a start to married life! The view from our 2nd floor balcony was spectacular, with fantastic views of the mountains and cable car systems. The room was pleasant and very clean, the food was delicious, the chef managed to provide enough options even for a very fussy eater! Our waitresses were very efficient and always found time to have a chat. The hotel is ideally placed for the cable cars and walks in the mountains. We wholeheartedly thank the staff for their efforts to make our stay special and for the kind gifts on our departure.

Room Tip: Choose a balcony with mountain view

Myself, my wife and our 16 year son stayed here for 10 days in early August 2013. The staff are very helpful, the food is absolutely excellent, the views up the valley are fantastic from the balconies and the rooms are good. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well positioned for the near-by chairlifts and for the village centre.
When we were there the weather was gloriously warm (25C) and walking was great.

I would recommend this family run hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ten days in this hotel. Conveniently placed for lifts. A pleasant room and a balcony with a lovely view. Friendly and efficient waitresses. Excellent food for a three star hotel, Willingness to substitute an item on the set menu if the item wasn't to taste. Overall there was a special warm and friendly family atmosphere which was most refreshing. Beryl L.

My husband and I spent an excellent week at this lovely family run hotel. The room was well appointed and clean with an excellent ensuite bathroom with the best shower we've experienced outside our own home! It also had the most wonderful views of the mountains and was very close to all the lifts which we used to access the higher level walks. This is a family run hotel and this was evident right from the start when we were met at the bus terminus by Isabel, who was most friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The meals were very good and there was never any problem if we wished to make some substitutions to the menu if something was not to our taste, which suited us well, especially when there is only one choice of each dish. However, everything we ate was well cooked and delicious. The waitresses, Charlotte at dinner and Sandra at breakfast were both very friendly and efficient, and we had lots of friendly chats with Charlotte in particular. It was also nice to see all the family getting involved, even the owners' toddler daughter who was a dab hand with a duster! All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would not hesitate in recommending it.

I spent a week with my whole family in hotel Bristol and I would certainly recommend it. The rooms are clean, comfortable and they have an amazing view from the balcony. The food is great and there's plenty of it. Service is excellent and very friendly. It's a real family hotel, with a relaxed, cosy atmosphere. Makes you feel right at home!

We stayed at the Hotel Bristol for 3 days at the very end of June. It is situated in an ideal spot with easy access to cable cars and hikes. The hotel is family run and we found the owner's daughter in law particularly friendly and very helpful. We took half board and must give our compliments to the chef. The salad bar was a bonus and all of our 4 course meals were delicious and great value for the money! The chef happily prepared vegetarian options. Our waitress, Charlotte, was extremely charming, helpful, and always so pleasant. We looked forward to talking with her each evening. The buses and lifts are included with the price of the hotel. Saas Fee and nearby Sass Grund (a short bus ride) had very enjoyable hikes and cable car rides and there are many other opportunities that we did not have time for.

We stayed here for two nights from Apr 15-17th, 2013. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the ski lift and the owners are really lovely and it's a very homy atmosphere. Saas Fee itself is wonderful - though many pists were already closed, skiing was still goo , the only downside it that it takes quite a while to get high enough up the hill with the diverse lifts. What we liked about Bristol hotel:
- very friendly atmosphere
- location, close to lifts & city center
- sunny balcony at every room
- value for money is ok - probably good for a location as Saas Fee
what we did not like as much:
- the rooms were quite old-fashioned and there were no double-rooms with kiongsize beds, just two singles put next to each other and they were not very comfortable (we both had back-pain)
- there was a really dry heating-air in the rooms
Overall comments:
- Guests were international (British, French, Swiss, German), skewed towards older generations
- Breakfast was ok, but not outstanding
- no wellness / sauna, but you can book this externally (e.g. Ferienart or public swimming pool)
- heated ski-room
