We chose this hotel upon recommendation by another hotel that had to close for renovation during the time we wanted to be in SaasFee. Jaegerhof is situated towards the upper end of town, 5 minutes passed the church. It is family operated. The food and the service is excellent. The rooms are updated and modern with a balcony overlooking the back valley. Would definitely stay there again.

We chose this hotel for its location on the higher, sunnier side of the village. We had a good sized room and a large balcony with a gorgeous view over the slopes. The walk to the hotel is very doable. We were taken from the bus station to the hotel by their electric car and were instantly welcomed by the super friendly couple that own the hotel. When we arrived, dinner service had finished but the owner served our dinner himself anyway. The hotel is quite small and had about 10 small families staying when were there in the second week of February. It is quiet and relaxing and, despite its relatively reasonable prices, has a jacuzzi and sauna. It is very easy to get from and to the hotel from the slopes, as you can almost ski up to the hotel, with just a few metres walking. The owners and staff were always extremely friendly and worked very hard to give their guests a great stay. The hotel prices include breakfast and dinner. For breakfast we could choose from a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread, cheeses and meat. Dinner normally consisted of a salad, soup, main and desert. We got lovely raclette on Thursday and meat fondue on Friday. The other days the food was fine.
If you're looking for 5* luxury , this hotel isn't for you. However, if you like a cosy hotel with a Swiss feel, friendly owners and a relaxed atmosphere - look no further.

We stayed for a ski weekend with friends. There were two families, 4 adults and 6 children. We had 4 rooms.

Communication was great. We made the booking on booking.com, but the hotel confirmed the reservation and let us know that it wouldn't be a problem to have a third child in a room. We sent our luggage ahead, and the hotel collected it from the Post for us as we arrived after the luggage office closed. The hotel sent their electric car to collect us when we arrived. We just called when we were a few minutes away from town and the car was waiting when we exited the bus terminal. We loved talking with the owner's wife and learning about the history of the hotel and the area. She was friendly and spent a great deal of time reviewing the piste map with us to make sure we knew where to ski and when the lifts open. We really couldn't ask for more personal or better service. There was gorgeous wood carving throughout the hotel.

Breakfast was typical for a Swiss/European hotel: cereals, yogurt, breads, jams, cheese, and meat. We were served hot beverages promptly and had a table reserved for us.

Skiing in/out of the hotel was easy. The beginner piste is across the street behind a few houses. You just need to cross the street, walk up a bit, and then ski over to the piste. Likewise, you can ski back at the end of the day. Having said that, the road itself was a sheet of ice, so the walk, while short, was treacherous. My husband immediately slipped and fell. If you held the railing on the edge of the street, you could remain upright.

We walked into town for dinner. It was about a 10 minute walk, and our restaurant was on the opposite side of town. We met friends who complained that their hotel was in the "party" area of town and rather loud. While the Jagerhof is a bit out of town (if you consider a few minute walk as "out of town"), it's nice to appreciate the quiet and the views. Every one of our four rooms had a balcony with a wonderful view of the Alps.

We used the hot tub and sauna after skiing. Yes, it's in the basement, but it's in a separate room and well maintained. It was very nice to relax the sore muscles!

We were able to check out a bit late so that we didn't have to pack all of our luggage before skiing the last day. They even exchanged our lift passes for the deposit! We really felt like we were staying with friends who would do anything possible to make our stay nice. I highly recommend the hotel.

I found this hotel on booking.com and got a great deal on a suite which consists of two large double bedrooms and a bathroom. It was on the top floor with a balcony and great views of the mountains and pistes. The rooms were clean, warm and very cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection to choose from to fill up for a day of skiing. There is a heated ski room just outside the front door and you can even ski in and out of the hotel! There is a jacuzzi and sauna room in the basement which was heated and ready providing a perfect way to relax after a day on the pistes! There is also the possibility to have dinner in the hotel although we didn't take this option as there are so many restaurants to choose from in the town. The Schnyder family who run the hotel were very friendly, kind and helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in saas fee. It is a real gem.

We were 2 couples with 1 2 year old and a 5 year old. Service was excellent.
Breakfast is correct. Nothing special. Dinner very good but no choice.
Rooms are old but in perfect state.
It was difficult to find. A bit out of the main street. If you have a lot of baggage then call them and they'll pick you up at the parking.

Re-visiting the stunningly beautiful ski resort of Saas-Fee for the first time for many years on a very short 3-night trip to re-discover old haunts. This simple 3 star hotel was ideal for us as it was well placed a short, steep walk up from the village centre and a very short scramble/ski across to the ski slopes (almost ski in-ski out which is rare in Saas Fee). Position is very important in the car-free village of Saas-Fee.
The rooms are OK in size with small bathrooms (some with bath, some with shower), decent big towels, comfy bed though poor pillows, plenty of cupboard space - some rooms have balcony and a view to the mountains. Breakfast was just right for a 3 star hotel with a very decent choice including good breads and fruit.
Ski/boot room just outside the main building with heated boot racks.
We did not try the restaurant as we wanted to go to nearby restaurants (the famous Schaefer restaurant is almost next door and very good), however half-board is the norm at this hotel and other guests seemed to be regulars and very happy with it.
The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.
