“The great man lived here”

The Nietsche haus is one of the few remaining old houses in Sils Maria and even thoug you don't care about Nietzsche, it is worth visiting. When I was there it was half buried in the snow, which may explain why the man was a little melancholy. The museum is well kept and has a nice atmosphere but check the opening hours (not too many)!

I have not considered Nietzsche since high school but am culturally interested and do not mind philosophy. So on this rainy day I joined the tour and was absolutely fascinated! You sit in a small room listening to the curator who has spent his life on researching Nietzsche, providing an easy to understand and lifely account of his work. Will try to read one of the Nietzsche books!

The house is well preserved. To understand Nietzsche thoughts and make a step back in this writer's past.

In addition, some items relating to Anne Frank, who stayed with her family in a house located above the Waldhaus hotel.

We entered Nietzsche-Haus in Sils-Maria just outside St. Moritz expecting to learn a little about the Philosopher in the house he lived in and be finished in an hour. Half a day later, we were just about ready to leave. There is much to view here, including photos, documents in Nietzsche's handwriting, and other exhibits. It was a wonderful experience and is highly recommended.
