This 50s built hotel is in a quiet position on the edge of Morges with lovely views over the lake and a great view of Mont Blanc. You can stroll along the promenade into town for cafes, harbour etc and the military museum. If I was rating the food in the bar (lovely burgers) or the restaurant (good service with three tasty course and good wine) alone the rating would be a 4 but the 'hotel' aspect was disappointing. We had booked a superior room and were the last people to check in on our first night; this might have been our downfall as we were given a suite on the first floor. It was spacious with a deep balcony, coffee machine and much appreciated complimentary soft drinks in the fridge. However it was above the bar/restaurant, and having gone to bed relatively early (having got up at 4am to travel to Morges) it was impossible to sleep due to scraping sounds and loud voices. By the time it did go quiet the heat was unbearable and the air cooler provided was very noisy in itself, especially on the 'cooler' setting which gives loud gurgling and trickling sound effects. The following morning staff did not seem surprised at our experience and we were transferred to another room on the second floor. We noticed that this room did not have an air cooler and requested the one from our previous room be moved up there. Thankfully, on the second night we were not disturbed by external noise but the noise from the air cooler in itself was disturbing: however, if you turned it off you would be bathed in sweat! Lots of little flies can be seen around the lake in the evenings so we did not want to open the windows!
Having had the first night and day of our holiday ruined by lack of sleep we had imagined some concession would be made to our bill - after all lots of people have breaks to relax and recharge their batteries. However nothing was done and we ended up paying well over £300 for the room(s) alone- only to move onto our next stop feeling shattered.
Hopefully the hotel has an action plan to install effective sound proofing and air condidioning when they rennovate!

We're sorry that was a wrong choice for you.

One point for the location and a fantastic view over the Lake, one for easy parking. Otherwise an old hotel with thin walls and very noisy people in an outdoor restaurant. Large rooms, but no airconditioning. All this for a quite high price.

Dear Sir,

We thank you for choosing our establishment for your stay.

We're sorry that our guests were noisy in our terrace.

Actually the direction makes some renovation, but we can't renovate everything at one time.

We didn't have air conditioning, but if you ask the receptionist we can provide you a fan with pleasure.

We stay at your disposal for any further information.

Best regards,

Reception

My first time in Switzerland ad I booked this hotel mainly because the rooms had a lake view. I was so pleased when i got there. Only 30 mins from Geneva. I didn't speak much French and they were so accommodating. My room was cozy and comfortable and the best part was the balcony with a 180 view of the lake. Waking up to the birds, view and the fresh air. Breathtaking! There was a promenade just steps from the hotel which embraced the perimeter of the lake and it led you into the nearby village where i had the adventure of ordering coffee and croissants through google translate haaaa...haaa...at an outdoor cafe...Best way to start the morning. I wished I had booked a longer stay there. I will be back.

This is a small, older hotel overlooking Lake Geneva. The rooms are clean and everything works. My room had a balcony overlooking the lake and the view was fantastic. The room functionality could use some updating, such as more electrical outlets, but the wifi signal was strong, and because of the location, why would you want to spend time in the room? The hotel is about 20 minutes from the center of Morges, but it is a pleasant stroll along the lake and in a nice, quiet location. The Morges St. Jean rail station is a short three minute walk, although since it is a local stop, the express trains will pass by. However, even on the local train, Lausanne is a short 15 minute trip, and if you are going further, you can change trains in Gare Lausanne, or if going to Geneva, change trains at Gare Morges. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and provided many useful tips for navigating the area.

Room tip: 2nd or third floor with balcony overlooking the lake

Great and welcoming reception that will take care of every little detail of your trip with lots of kindness.
The bar in the reception floor is so cosy, I enjoyed to spend time there and have the quality local wine
The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the view is amazing
And the restaurant is delicious , also if you're not a gust of the hotel, visit there, the chef is great!
And in the hotel there is another burger restaurant that I haven't had the chance to check, but with the high level of the hotel I'm sure it's great
Most important is that the service ia amazing and so !welcoming in each part of the hotel
