Monbiel, a "suburb" of Klosters, is not where one would expect to find a great eatery. But Gasthaus Hoewald is indeed. Depending on the weather, one can sit outside on a lovely terrace. The main resturant is charming, with very "local" ambience, nicely touched with beautiful fresh flowers. We had two meals there this week : dinner and lunch, and both were really nice. The atmosphere is correct but friendly, the service is professional and the food is delicious. Our beer was from the Monstein Brewery in Davos, a nice touch. There is a bus service, and if you come by car, they offer covered parking. Buses do not run at night! In previous years we have also eaten here, sometimes a little disappointed, but something seems to have changed for the better.
