The restaurant in a typical old chalet house in the center of Andermatt has been totally renovated in a very attractive, ingenious and chic way (by Francesco, the young manager). He and his charming mother, as well as his father Guerino - the fabulous Chef in the kitchen who deserves more than the 13 Gault Millau points he already has - are successfully managing the place. The food is unique and delicious. You can taste the first class ingredients and that they are prepared with love and competence. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, lovely.
The family is extremely friendly and competent, despite working almost around the clock!
In time, they will tackle the renovation of the 6 hotel rooms that are plain but adequate and clean, and the beds are good.
