My wife and my two little kids stayed at Via Paradiso for a week in June 2012. We slept in the Terzani room, a simple, efficient room with a clean bathroom with shower. Having Terzani's books in our room was a special treat. Breakfast was faboulous, served on a room with breathtaking views on the valley, and with a different cake prepared each morning by Norma. If you go, ask for the strudel, which is divine!
The greatest value of this B&B lies in Norma, the Angel of Via Paradiso. She called us before we arrived to check if we needed anything. She bought the special corn flakes for our daughter, she never said no to my plea for more strudel and she gave us fantastic tips for local places to visit. She was warm, attentive and welcoming: the ideal owner of a B&B.
To the package above add two lovely cats, one charming little dog and a very interesting husband who adores jazz and has travelled the world.
If you like character and intimacy, don't go anywhere else: via Paradiso is your place!
PS: Ponte is a lovely old town in which to get lost: you can have great food from Valtellina (pizzoccheri e sciatt) at the local restaurant Nello. Highly reccomended!More
