Stayed in the Schachener Hof last week while visiting the area with some friends.
We were recommended the hotel by
Friends and it was perfect in every way.
The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet at night ensuring you get a very good night sleep.
The highlight has to be the exceptional food in the restaurant . Chef and owner Thomas prepared us a meal of local dishes on our first night which was amazing , accompanied by some local beer and wonderful wines from the region. Next day he even took us to the winery to a little tasting !! Very enjoyable .
Next night Thomas prepared a seven course gourmet dinner , which can only be described as spectacular , words would not do it justice , we were blown away with the combination he came up with ,truly a work of art.
And of course Thomas wife Brigitte, is a wonderful host , very gracious and kind, she made sure the evening was an unforgettable experience from start to finish .
They both made our trip a truly , memorable one , they gave us great advice on things to see and do , and have no problem in booking taxi or getting local information for us ,
They are terrific people ,
The Schachener Hof is a great base to tour from as it is just on the out side of the town and has good parking , well wort a visit !!
We will certainly return again.
Keep up the good work

We stayed here one night as a stop over refuge on our way to southern Italy. Good unpretentious hotel, good cuisine. Very quiet at night with a big bathroom. Not all modern anymore but well maintained and clean!!
The parking in front might get full during dinner time because of the many restaurant guests. To visit Linda you need a car or take the bus, which stops in front of the hotel.
Internet is lousy. Make sure you bring your own mobile internet. T-Online provides low coverage at this location!!!!
