Just had my first experience of surfing at the wonderful beach at Famara. The whole day was perfect from our pick up in puerta del carmen by the bright and breezy Natalie through the full 4hrs in the water. There where only 6 in the class making it much easier to pick up tips and correct your mistakes along the way from our instructors. Great guys, very patient! One day was all i could squeeze into my trip but did manage to "surf"- stand on the board for couple of seconds, before the inevitable wipeout! Will definitely return someday and cant recommend it highly enough-go for it!

Famara is a fantastic place to learn surfing, not only because of the amazing beach and waves but also because of the non mass tourstic touch of the place.

Clandestino is a excellent school, very professional teacher, you have each morning yoga, warm up, a video session where they correct you, new material and people who really care that you learn.
the team teaches in fluent Spanish, German and English and also help you with other activities you want to do in Lanzarote.

I am definitively going back.

Great atmosphere in the school. Natalie is very very nice and John is great in giving continuous feedback during the surf lessons. You get a lot of time to surf, and you start with an extensive warming-up session, and end the day of surfing with some yoga/stretching and after that a nice big bocadillo :)
Also Famara is a great place! Enjoy!
