We'd certainly stay here again. The room was spacious and clean and appeared to be furnished with things from a large Swedish furniture chain. The only minor glitch was the fridge. We use ice packs in our esky and the freezer did not freeze them. No big deal. And this is one of the few places on the Nullarbor where your mobile phone will work. We also enjoyed the small museum on the grounds that shows old artefacts from many years ago when a telegraph station was not far from the motel down towards the beach. The old station is only a few kilometres from the motel and now a ruin, half full of sand. But worth seeing. The motel also has a beautiful swimming pool and garden.

Make no mistake, we had no illusions about what to expect. Having stayed at Cocklebiddy 2 weeks earlier , we were well aware of the isolation out there and obviously expected simple basic accommodation. What we didn't expect was the filth that was our room. As if the dust and cobwebs everywhere weren't enough - the real disgust came when we went into the bathroom. Filthy grimy mould ridden walls and a rubbish bin that was full to the brim - YUK ! No use complaining - it's not like there's a choice of where to stay. They know they've got you over a barrel - we just had to grin and bear it. To top it off the majority of the staff were incompetent and unfriendly. You think they might have a smile and thank you after ripping you off with their ridiculous prices but no such graces here ! We will be driving on to Border Village next time.

Having read many negative reviews I was a little concerned but didn't need to be. Sure the room was a bit dated but it had everything we required and was quite spacious. Unfortunately the dining room was not available due to a function so takeaway was served in the bar - a basic meal but again ok. An opportunity to talk to fellow travellers. What we didn't see was the pool area which apparently is quite nice. They need to promote this more. We also missed the golf link! The local time is a bit odd, being 50 mins difference with SA!

Booked ahead and wondered what we were coming to. Arrived mid afternoon and we're warmly welcomed.( Different person than person who took the booking). Our room was comfortable and clean. The bed was more comfortable than most. We wandered up to the hotel for a drink and we're pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We looked at the menu and decided on soup and pizza and this turned out to be good as well. The whole place is like an oasis. Decor is good. Presentation of meals is good.You certainly wouldn't pick it if you drove up from the outside. Thanks for a good night. We would certainly stay there again.

We arrived here with the "Rebels" and around 30 police - We requested 2 rooms but were informed we all had to stay in one room only - we found it filled with spiders, quite dusty, really basic amenities. The TV was from the 70's and couldnt wait to get out of here. No restaurant due to the other guests, only offered the takeaway menu - or - $25.00 per head for a b-b-q with the Rebels and Police - decided to have a quiet take away meal and a bottle of wine. Could not get out this place quick enough. The young staff were more interested in the bikies than serving normal people. Not good enough for the price of the room.

Room Tip: Stay but not for long

We arrived late and unfortunatly the motel was fully booked so we were forced to set up our tent on the rocky ground.

The only reason not to go bushcamping was the fact they had showers. So we payed 20 $ for the night and went to take a shower. THIS WERE THE WORST SHOWERS IN WHOLE OF AUSTRALIA;
- 1.70 high...
- cold, max 25 degrees water
- very low pressure
- very dirty complex
- lots of half empty beer bottles
- 1 dollar per 5 minutes

It was a waste of 21 dollars next time i will bushcamp. Ps not to talk about the toilets.

My son and I have just come across the Nullabor (from Perth to Adelaide) and the Eucla road house was a lovely place to stay. We had a unit each, and both were very clean, although not as "Ritzy" as the "Ritz" this place was a great stop over. The restaurant was lovely, and I had the best Garlic Prawns.
