When you first get to this very informal hotel and go in, there is no registration desk, you will check in in the kitchen which will be directly in front of you.
The hotel is in a great location, couldn't ask for better and was very clean and fairly quiet. The breakfast which is included in the price, 69 Euros, was good and filling. The bathroom and shower were larger than the traditional European bathroom.
The room was large but there were a couple of things that we didn't enjoy about our stay.
There was no TV or radio, the lighting in our particular room wasn't very good. It took roughly 20 minutes to get hot water after turning the tap on.
Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator that we saw. We were winding up a 6 week stay in Europe so had three suitcases, a backpack and laptop computer. It was a difficult trek up the stairs to our room.
This is a family run hotel and the folks are very friendly and eager to please. The wife speaks some English. The hotel is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the main train station and the taxi is the only way we found to get there other than walk. The cost was about 5 Euros.
We would recommend this hotel for young people and young couples, but not necessarily older people or families with very young children because of the steep and narrow stairs and difficutly in getting hot water.
