Zabojad enjoys his stays at the Technik Museum Hotel in Speyer. A very good value for the stay and business trips to Speyer. I enjoyed my numerous stops in 2013 and the quality of the service and welcome. I recommend it to any one staying in Speyer. Happy Sharing Happy Inside

I am working as a theming artist in Speyer at Sealife for a few days. Speyer is a great town and we just happened to be here during the carnival, which is crazy and great fun. The hotel itself is reasonably priced (not that I'm the one paying for it) and the rooms very comfortable and modern. The only draw back is the lack of tea making facilities in my room (I'm English and believe its my birth right to have tea available to me 24/7) and the free wifi which is safe guarded. That means I cant watch youtube videos or stream tv through my laptop. It also safeguards against anything remotely risqué ( I asked google to find me a local wine shop and it told me that alcohol and tobacco related sites were a no-no). So if you are looking for a very nice and comfortable place to stay with excellent breakfast facilities, then this is the place for you. If your wanting to find some hedonism, watch a film or ogle at pictures of strangers navels and bikini lines on the tinternet then go find a less censored hotelier.

Room Tip: I stayed in the building marked number one...it was quiet and warm....

I stayed in the Hotel after an event in the Museum next door. The Hotel was a french military camp in the "first life". But the conversion was a perfect job. It is no problem, that the rooms are in different buildings to reception and restaurant. Breakfast was perfect and the staff very helpful. Well done - I will come back.
Only trouble was plenty of noise (must be air) from the heater in the bath room. I closed it early morning and had a few more unbelievable quite hours.

Room Tip: Ground floor will be best.

This is the place to visit, ideal for families of all ages. The hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced and the breakfast is good. It is situated about 10 minutes walk from the city in one direction and less than 10 minutes walk to the Rhine in the other direction, so there is no shortage of places to eat in the evening. The museum is something else, you can spend at least one whole day in there, looking at all the exhibits. There is a space shuttle, a boeing 747, loads more aircraft, fire engines, locomotives, cars, motorcycles and countless other things to see, also a cinema, cafe etc etc. Then, just 20 miles away is Sinsheim, and another museum, where you can spend another day! There you will find loads and loads more exhibits, including concorde and concordski. We all had a fantastic time here, this was our second visit, and probably not the last..

Hotel for one night stay only, no personal space, only for sleeping. The room was very small, industrial noises outside all night long, there were no internal sound isolation at all. Transparent door to bathroom in such room configuration is confusion. Staff was absolutely unfriendly, during breakfast was picking up snacks and drinks from buffet for guests. Wi-fi was free but very slow.

Room Tip: Choose hotel in town. Walk to museum is only 5-10 mins.
